Soon, actually. Or so I hear.
PSA: The Rebels Thread is not a baseless complaint/whining thread.
More importantly though is when is Disney going to give me my Star Wars flavored Jessica Jones/Daredevil?
a.k.a. Star Wars Underworld
Oh good lord, that's actually a possibility, isn't it.
Disney and Netflix are on good terms, the marvel/Netflix shows are incredibly popular (and also amazingly good), so I assume they are both very happy with the arrangement.
A netflix produced, gritty, down to earth SW series that followed a random rebel cell or smugglers or something like that is a real possibility.
That would be unbelievably amazing.
The only snag I can see is budget. The Netflix shows don't seem to have the budget for much special effects, and a SW series would probably require a lot, both for space combat and some decent prosthetics for aliens.
You realize the boycott TFA was a troll action right? It was two people before the chans picked it up.
Believe me when I say that I know **** well how few answers I have to anything. But when it comes to projecting, you've managed to assert that I should, "Put this in my signature so everybody can understand my mentality"- as if to say, "Wear this so everybody can understand you believe your opinion is the only correct one, because that's what I believe you think of yourself."Your passive-aggressiveness is extremely frustrating.all your issues, not ours. Refer back to my earlier post. No need for anymore PSA's on what you deem acceptable, just add this thread to your signature and everyone can understand your mentality.Opposing opinions are fine.
Opposing opinions from people who don't even know anything about the source material and continue to mushroom stamp it despite that are what get me.
Yup, I get that people being reasonable can be very frustrating to the young and the strong-headed who need to believe they have all the answers. You appear to be both and have none.
There's legitimately no passive-aggressive tendencies in any of my responses. You made a self-aggrandizing thread and I politely responded calling you out. Don't project your issues.
But, you're wrong. Again. There's a reason I don't go into a majority of threads. X-Wing is extremely inactive where I am, I'm behind at least two waves once again thanks to financial difficulties, and as a result I can't really comment on the effectiveness of several builds, and so on.But.
What I do know is where many of the events/designs from Rebels come from, that Disney didn't eradicate some sacred Expanded Universe that wasn't exactly that amazing anyway, and that is was never actually canon in the first place.
So what gets me goat is that you've got all these dudes who don't know their facts, gallivanting about as though they do and that's final. It's frustrating to see dismissive arrogance as a central personality trait, tacked onto a complete unwillingness to learn what the truth is. Just, finding reasons to complain instead, when there's little actual reason to complain.
The overwhelming negativity of The Star Wars fandom is just... Mind boggling. That horrible group that boycotted TFA because they decided that Disney was Anti-White?
That turdball group that decided they'd spoil any and everything, just because they could, but a similar one that did it because it wasn't up to their standards?
It's worse than trekkies that whine about JJ Trek films. It is significantly worse. The entitlement to "How I see Star Wars is the only way Star Wars should be" is just... Ignorant. Stupid. Brash. Callous. It makes the fandom look worse as a whole.
So, heaven forbid I push back against a bunch of overly negative whining and pants wetting over details like the wrong shapes used for Rebel ships because apparently that matters.
It is agonizing to watch a fandom I've been part of my entire life do nothing but hate on every little new thing they see because they're so attached to things they can't let go of- and it's full of misconceptions and such about the old material too!
"It's too kiddy, it's too corny, it's too slapstick" dude, some of these things have been here since the beginning- or are we just going to forget the antics of R2 and 3PO? Or god forbid, Jabba's Palace and Ewoks in general? Nothing is sacred, and even the oldest stuff is full of really, really weird stuff. Stuff that if done now, would be condemned for being too silly. Not dark enough. As though it has to be dark and broody the entire time.
What I don't get...Is what the hell people actually want out of Star Wars.
Get a film that's similar to the OT? Too similar to the OT. Get one that's not, it's not enough like the OT. Get a solid animated series (two of them actually), it's too kiddy because it's not live action or the "Animation" (style, most people don't differentiate these two) is too weird. What do you people actually want?
A DISCUSSION thread.
People are discussing it. Some people have issues with Rebels inconsistency in quality. But that doesn't mean they are posting against the intent of the thread. They are creating the discussion YOU ASKED FOR.
****! When did this forum turn into a safe space? Every few months I see less and less of the old crowd. And more and more posters enforcing "good think".
Edited by All Shields ForwardComplaining about a ship being the wrong shape isn't exactly riveting or interesting discussion.
But hell, nobody's answering- what DO Star Wars fans want?

The Death of Jar Jar Binks.
But if you don't have a thread where there are at least 3 pages of what an awful OP it was on the first day then you really haven't been to too many forums. It is the internet, the internet is troll country. Don't let it bog you down.
Something different for each one. Because fans don't think like a hive mind.
I'm just trying to nail down what makes people happy in the star wars fandom anymore. Surely, there has to be something that everybody can agree on.

Uh...complaining?
After reading most of this trash, what I got from it is..
No one likes captain lackwit?

I think everyone can agree (women included) that they would bang the s*** out of Natalie Portman.
I would do anything she asked

Seeeeeeeeeeems to be the case.

Eh, there's a few.

I... Actually have zero-thing for her or Carrie. I know- it's weird.
The whole debate going on in this thread is rather irrelevant. It's a TV show. If people don't like it they can change channel, that's always been the case. Don't like the fact Disney own the rights? Then maybe you should all club together and buy them yourself. The rights are expensive? Oh right, that's because SW is insanely popular despite what anyone in this thread thinks.

ANH and ESB being good movies?
Oh wait, now there's kids that actually like the prequels better....
Nope, SW fanbase is hopelessly broken and insatiable. And it's been this way FOREVER, or at least since ROTJ and the SW TV that followed in the mid 80s, before the dark times...
Oh, yeah, I forgot, everyone loves Thrawn and Mara Jade! Or almost everyone.
Well I had been staying out of the rebels thread but thanks to this waste of a thread I'm going to make a triumphant return and spray some bile everywhere.
What do you people actually want?
You are being rediculous. Either stand behind the fact that you can't tolerate differing views and that you are frustrated that the population isn't giving credence to your superior opinion or just be quiet about it. No one wants to watch you try to squirm out from under this. It is too sad.

Well, that's decent enough praise that I can take.
Please baselessly complain elsewhere. Like here, for instance.
Stop being a control freak mate. It gets tiresome
Anyone interested in a "PSA: PSA threads do not generate the desired result" thread? Let me know.
I just had some amazing roti.
Mmmmmm Roti. Got me feeling hungry now....curse you :-P
[self-indulgent claptrap]
What do you people actually want?
So, the fact that the summation of all your rambling about why you're so upset over how your thread is being mishandled is a gross blanket statement wherein you try and encompasses the perspectives and opinions of all the millions of Star Wars fans who basically aren't you and ask a (what I initially thought was, then turned out NOT to be, rhetorical) question speaks volumes about your attitude and approach to life. Pretty much anytime anyone uses the phrase "you people" is a bad sign. Sure, if you're talking to your buddies and ask "what do you people want on your pizza?" it makes sense, but whenever you try and address individuals you don't know as a collective, you're off-base.
"What do you people actually want?"
Can't speak for others but (in this localized instance) I have what I want, a forum where people are free to share ideas about a hobby we have in common that is based upon a franchise that many of us love. A forum where people are able to create threads that grow to 130+ pages based on a shared interest in a TV show as well as have the ability to create self-aggrandizing and unnecessary PSA threads that actually aren't PSA's, but just an excuse for a soap-box rant or some old-fashioned "Attention Whoring".
Thankfully, none of your petulant foot-stamping changes what, where or how people can post. At all.

Ewww.
Many of these are legitimate criticisms though. You are coming off as a "only true fan" with this post. You started a Rebels discussion threadA DISCUSSION thread.

This.
Something different for each one. Because fans don't think like a hive mind.
And this. Exactly this.
Star Wars fans number in the millions, dot the planet, and span generations. You want all of them to want the same thing? And you want us to tell you what it is?
You are being rediculous. Either stand behind the fact that you can't tolerate differing views and that you are frustrated that the population isn't giving credence to your superior opinion or just be quiet about it. No one wants to watch you try to squirm out from under this. It is too sad.
With just a dash of this thrown in on the top.
Stop being a control freak mate. It gets tiresome
And then, for with some coffee.

That they like something about the franchise. That's the thing. That's all you need to know.
Now stop asking for more than that because that's where, as you mentioned previously, get frustrated and your feelings get hurt.
It really IS ok that not everyone sees the world like you and enjoys different things. Really.
