Need help for tournament today

By ONEnONLY1, in X-Wing Squad Lists

So today I'm entering a tournament running rebels and need advice and feedback on my list and how to beat meta lists such as 4 y wings with TLTs. I am also thinking about changing BB-8 to targeting astromech so I can get a free target lock from talen rolls that I treat as white maneuvers then take a focus as an action for stronger firepower. My list is

E-Wing: · Corran Horn (35)

Push The Limit (3)

Fire Control System (2)

· R2-D2 (4)

Engine Upgrade (4)

T-70 X-Wing: · Ello Asty (30)

Veteran Instincts (1)

· BB-8 (2)

Autothrusters (2)

A-Wing: Prototype Pilot (17)

Chardaan Refit (-2)

-- TOTAL ------- 98/100p. --

give Corran VI instead so as to deal with VI Poe and Soontir...bump up prototype to GSP with wired to deal with TLT

or

Corran+VI+FCS+EU+r5p9

Redace+comms+r2d2+AT

protype+refit+AT

If u have it put another autothrusters on ur a wing, ive not played TA but I wud b tempted to use it, with only three ships uve got to maximise ur atks

My only copy of r5-p9 I'm letting my buddy use for the same tournament. I love Corran being able to get 2 actions, my biggest concern is Ello Asty has nothing for dice modification on offense which hinders him but I like the idea of a ps9 with a white talen roll. What should I do?

What if I switch it up to this

E-Wing: · Corran Horn (35)

Veteran Instincts (1)

Fire Control System (2)

· R2-D2 (4)

Engine Upgrade (4)

T-70 X-Wing: · Ello Asty (30)

Push The Limit (3)

R2 Astromech (1)

Autothrusters (2)

A-Wing: Prototype Pilot (17)

Chardaan Refit (-2)

Autothrusters (2)

Your list is fine as is. Yes there's a couple tweaks you could do, but ultimately, it won't matter that much. Just fly it and have fun!

Against twin laser turrets, you have two options: keep your ships in range of only 1 or 2 at the edge of their firing range, or rush in close so the ones you are in R1 of cannot shoot. Since all of your ships have boost, this shouldn't be too hard. Corran's double tap plus shooting from either Ello or the proto is enough to put serious damage on it and you can kill it next turn before it shoots (well, Ello can). That's the idea anyway.

Good luck!

Edit re, new list: I prefer your first list----it keeps Corran alive easier and to get value out of Push the Limit, Ello wants BB-8 more than R2. VI on corran is over-rated imho, but a lot of people love it, so make the change if you feel more comfortable with PS10 (you want to be as comfortable as you can for a tourney, afterall!)
