I have been playing around with 2 K-wings with tacticians lately. Good players find a way to get behind them eventually and arc-dodgers avoid the TLT. I have never been big on bombs but I figured this might be the oppertunity to explore that territory.
So, we would have 2 K-wings, each loaded with a TLT, tactician, extra munitions, seismic charges and proximity mines.
That leaves 24 points that can be used for a TLT Y-wing.
I like the idea of being able to choose between seismic or proximity, or to even use both types in the same turn!
I haven´t had the chance to try this but I figured 4 Ys with TLTs would be a good comparison in theory since that´s a solid list. What you lose is one TLT and 6 total hull points (26 shields/hull vs 32). What you gain is the stress factor with the tacticians, the range 1 primary turret option of the Ks plus a shitload of bombs that cover your tail or proximites to plant in front of Soontir or other painful autothusters that aren´t afraid of your TLTs.
So, what do you think.
ps. Another option I thought of would be to skip the seismics on the Ks and pick a 28 point Jake Farrel instead of the Y, but I think the 3rd TLT plus the 4 seismic charges (with extra munitions) are too good to pass up.
