I'm mostly in the 'probably none' camp but do have a foot and a bit of my calf in the "maybe when they are on sale" camp. I don't know if I'd want to fiddle with them too much and have too many ships to justify a complete set.
Dial Upgrades on the boat. Will you be getting them and how many?
I'll try one pack to see if they are easier to manipulate. Due to carpal tunnel in both wrists, my wife is currently unable to set the dials, they are too tight and wreak havoc on the tendons for her.
If they work as hoped, I'd get a bunch more.
I was considering none, for awhile anyway. But I will be picking up two packs of rebel and one pack of Imperial to cover my Epics(providing they have ID tokens for them). If I like them I may pick up a few for specific pilots, but I have entirely too many ships to consider decking the whole fleet out.
My issue with them is that i would have to either get a TON of them or have to assemble/disassemble dials A LOT when I want to play a different list.
If I could purchase the maneuver inserts for individual ships separately it would be more tempting, but as is, I dont think I will be able to justify it.
Getting more ships is more important.

FFG, Give SPACE PIRATE MERCENARY FACTION HUGE SHIPS
I may get two packs of imperial ones for tourney play, but I deffinately won't buy any until I get to see some opposite me and check them out first
Probably 8(9) imperial and 6 each for the other two.
Some of my dials are in really rough shape as some are 2 years old and showing a lot of ware.
It will also means I can store a lot more, in fact almost 2/3 more, in the same space by eliminating the top of the dial and the plastic bumps.
Edited by buddyfettI'll get 2 packs for each faction. Dials take up a considerable space in my carry case and I can cut that down by half if i disassemble all the dials and just have the movement part of the dial, which i can then easily put into the new dial backing as and when I need it.
Before the Asmodee deal, possibly, now unlikely. Since I have to spend extra money on my ships.
I've thought about this question long and hard over the last couple months...
I think they look great and would love to have my dials using them. However there's no way that my 'OCD' would ever let me just have them for a handful of dials and I really can't justify buying them for every dial I own unless they're massively cheaper than what's expected.
The answer sadly is therefore no from me.
Can't see myself picking these up, to be honest. The same goes for the coloured bases and stands.

Some of the dials for Armada was very tight.
I took a small rounded file and opened up the holes only slightly, testfitting constantly to see they dont get too loose.
It might help you loosen them up so your wife can turn them without issues!
Thanks for the tip, I'll keep it in mind!
I'd like a pack for each faction, but I'm not buying them right away. Really the only reason is for some minor paranoia that a player who takes mental notes of markings on the cardboard dial, which some of mine have just from manufacturing defects, would realize that marking is directly over a certain maneuver. It's absolutely ridiculous, I admit, but if people have studied the distance between stars on the FFG mats then it's not totally implausible.
Edited by SabaccSharkI guess I'm many in the wait and see mode.
I issue right not is space. So I I can buy a few packs of each faction and reuse them for play then I could store many more dials. If not then I'm not really sure I'll get any. Unfortunately since you need a little card board token to display the ship type it may not be convertible easily.
Otherwise these may take up even more room in my kit and I can save the expense for other shinys.
