Bespin needs a nerf it is so OP. As for the Death Star II mat, that is dead on arrival, will not be played in the 2 large ship TLT meta.

I won't even shoot the Rebels. Just open all batteries on the native population. Leave nothing alive.

I got to play on the Bespin one at a store championship. It was awesome. I'm totally picking up that one, but given its apparent popularity, I probably better pick it up soon er rather than later.

Bespin is PRETTY.
Having the maps line up in a way it makes sense to have the star field on the left and another mat on the right for an Epic game is just brilliant.
Both mats look great, but I really like the clouds and sunrise/sunset effects on the Bespin one.

I really like the look of them, but based on watching Youtube battle reports with visually busy mats, they do seem like more of a hindrance to actually playing. Does it get better (or less problematic) in person?

They're not bad to play on, visually. They're (of course) still slippery, which makes them a no-go for me, and they have the same rounded corners (or at least the ones awarded at Worlds do), which technically makes them illegal for competitive play!
While they look super nice i would still prefer to play a game on a simple starfield

Why not? The Deathstar and starfield are widely available here in Poland.
