While I think it's dangerous to claim you've been a pioneer in a game with as many concurrent players as X-Wing has, I've been running this list for a bit, now, and it makes me happy to see other people recognizing the value in "Red Ace." That aside, here is the main variation on the list I've been running, with an additional ask w/r/t advice from more experienced players (or, frankly, better players).

It's the "standard" Poe with the emerging standard "Red Ace," attached to a diet stresshog due to budgetary concerns. Losing the range 3 stress is a problem, and makes the list feel more binary - if the Y-Wing gets an ionization, whatever he hit is deeeead, but if he didn't ionize, it allows much more breathing room for escapes from aces like Soontir Fel or Darth Vader. I was considering taking the stressbot off of the Y-Wing entirely, making the jump to the Twin Laser Turret, and getting a 1pt. initiative bid, but I'm not sure I actually want to go to 99 pts., and even less sure I want to drop the stresshog. I could also fit the Y-Wing with a TLT and R3-A2 at the expense of turning Poe into his more fun, less effective build of Push The Limit, BB-8, and Integrated Astromech.

To be honest, I'm not even all that attached to the Y-Wing, it just seems like the best use of my budget when Poe and "Red Ace" are accounted for. I've played with Ello Asty and I respect the pilot ability, but for purposes of advice-giving assume that Poe (in either configuration) and "Red Ace" (in their only really viable configuration) are not subject to change. Any tips on what to do with my remaining points? Is it worth dropping the R3-A2 for TLT?
