I have searched far and wide on the boards trying to get clarity on some questions that have come up as things are getting more interesting. I have found some old threads that sort of touched on them but I would feel more comfortable if I could get answers in their own thread.
#1 The book has a chart that sells enhanced arms and legs for about a 10000.00 credits. Just the way the other equipment charts have been set up where the price is for one item. Now, in the description it says you need have both legs to get the bonus to your stat. My player states since that since you need two legs the price is for two legs.
I however feel that the table is set up for one item buying and that you would need to spend 20,000 to buy two legs to get the bonus. My reasoning for this is that all equipment charts I can recall are set up for one item price and in a FAQ someone asked Sam if dueling pistols are sold as a pair as they usually are bought as a pair or used as a pair and he said the price is for one. I do not have the books handy here so I am just recalling the general details. I do not believe the description is meant to be read as they sell them as a pair but only you need to have both your legs or arms replaced to get a bonus. Secondly, the system itself only allows stat increases by going thru to the end or near to the end of the tree which suggests the system itself doesn't want easy stat increases that would suggest the expensive cost of 20,000 for a stat increase compared to the cheap 1000.00 credit you can get run of the mill replacement.
#2 The stat bonus provided, say in our case +1 to agility from leg replacements
, does it apply to ALL agility skill check including shooting or only ones that would apply when the replacement is used, such as coordination check when crossing a tight rope?
I know they are simple questions but I want to be fair to my players and I value the perspective the board brings, thank you in advance for your help ![]()
