Less than optimal Aggressor list for local tournament, tips?

By drjkel, in X-Wing Squad Lists

See it here.

The short of it is:

IG-B with IG-2000, Push the limit, Advanced Sensors, Mangler, and Proximity mine

IG-C with IG-2000, Push the limit, Advanced Sensors, HLC, and Seismic charge

Before you jump in, I do not have Autothrusters, FCS, or Predator at this point. I won't be buying the ships before the tournament, and I'm fine with the fact that I'll be missing out (and I know how useful they would be).

The local meta, based on the little information I have, is very much TLT and acewing. The player who I gather tends to dominate recently ran Torkil+TLT with 2 Y with TLT and 2 Z-95. No information as to whether Omega Leader (and associated toys) or the new TIEs are likely to show up.

What I do have is anything in the following packs: both cores, A-wing, E-wing, K-wing, X-wing, both YT, Decimator, TIE fighter, TIE Bomber, TIE Punisher, Lambda, Most wanted and the Aggressors.

The goal is to have fun, and highly mobile Aggressors are fun to me right now. I'm not expecting to win much, but eking out some more mutually assured destruction would be appreciated ;)

Certainly a capable list with lost of tools. If you expect to see a lot of TLTs, they will give you trouble, but consider switching C for A so you can get a shield back each time you kill one.

I am debating whether getting a shield back or getting an evade off of any boost will yield the best results over many games. An evade on the right ship in the right round is worth the same as a shield, again, on the right ship (the one that could get one back).

The way I see it, the max benefit of A is about 8 shields when facing a naked swarm and between 2-5 against most lists (and I note that the last shield gained wins the match, it may not warrant being counted except in cases of simultaneous fire you had the initiative for!).

C's benefit, on the other hand, only happens when you can actually complete a boost. Advanced sensors help at giving more chances for it to happen, but it's harder to quantify.

Since I like jumping around, I'll probably stick with C this time, but will try to note how things would have been different with A.

I would trade PTL for Wiredand I would add either Inertial Dampners or Hot Shot Blaster for Illicit.

While wired is certainly useful after a sloop or k-turn, it doesn't do much otherwise, and the IGs are good at clearing stress, which makes keeping the stress very hard.

I am thinking of the hot shot blaster, but one shot upgrades still haven't clicked for me. I was idly considering anti pursuit lasers, if only to use the PS6 to get in the way of ace wings with the very quick moves the IGs are able to do.

Swap the cannons you can get a ssecond 4 die attack if you miss the first one
