I have been kicking around this idea for a bit, Would the idea of a perm Speed plus 1 or Click plus 1 (I guess YAW is correct term) boost up to max, break the game?
It would have to be a 15 point upgrade as to not be super cheap but needs to not over cost as to eliminate its usage before it comes out.
What say you all.

I would suggest a zero yaw be added to either the first speed or final speed point of the ship rather than 1, seems a little Engine Techie for ships that can't have engine tech otherwise.
I think engine techs is essentially armada's answer to engine upgrade, I doubt we'll see anything else that gives you more speed.
An upgrade that adds a click of yaw to your movement though. That seems doable (from a game mechanics perspective), and I know I would be all over it. Alternately, for a somewhat lower key version, it could just allow an additional +1 click when executing a nav command (which would still be really useful).

Or they could design the physical upgrade text on the card so you overlay the speed/yaw section on the ship card. That way they could truly be a modification 
You can't really make an upgrade that increases speed by one unless you make sure every 4-speed ship doesn't have that upgrade slot ever. Engine Techs seems to be the most reasonable facsimile.
May not be taken by ships of speed 3 or greater.
