I wonder if they will put them in the LCG or X-Wing, or maybe expand on their stories with fiction or something like they've done with Netrunner?
Will the Imperial Assault Heroes Appear Elsewhere?
Difficult to see. Always in motion is the future.

i would hope maybe in a COMICs or other book shorts.....
In FFG material, maybe.
In non-FFG material, don't count on it. None of them are really that interesting/original. ...Except maybe Loku.
1 of the upcomming figures was featured as a premade character for the Edge of the Empire rpg begginer game.

That's cool! Do you have a pic or a link?

I find most of them to be interesting actually, maybe fenn is a little generic, and saska well its saska. And MHD actually appeared in the movies
But Jyn is female han solo, Diala is as cool as kennan, Verena brings a strong female presence that is as though as a wookie. Biv and mak are heroic guerrilleros who could be interesting to see doing guerrilla against the empire(and exploiting maks dark past and bivs blood warrior tendencies). And gideon looks like Rex(a man can dream). And Gahrkan is a wookie
So all in all the team could be fun to see doing a campaing in the form of a graphic novel

That's just reusing artwork, because the Alliance Smuggler figure isn't a unique figure. I'd love to see more backstory for the characters. I was really disappointed that none was included in the game... especially with the side missions that are character specific, you're only ever given the very basics on who the character is and why the mission is important to them. I understand though that the idea is for players to be able to make up their own.
I would have sworn Gaarkhan was in the LCG, but when I checked I saw what my mistake was. Lowhhrick, the melee Wookiee from the EotE beginner box, is the FFG original that made it into the card game. Still, that means FFG has cross-pollinated its Star Wars games before.
It should be noted, the LCG version of Lowhhrick absolutely wrecks face.
There is also a page with the trooper from the imperial assault starter set. The hero is on one of the rebellion books from the rpg
Lowhhrick showed up in the LCG.
I'd love to see some of the IA heroes show up either there or in the EotE sets.
While it would be cool to see more info on the characters, part of me doesn't want it to happen. I love that there's just enough info to give a sort of basis to create our own personalities onto. It makes them really feel like our own characters, like a light rpg. All that being said, a comic that goes through a campaign would be awesome.
I like that their back stories are hinted at but left open to interpretation, but I would love a short run comic just showing even the original 6 on a mission together.
I think these characters were born to be in a comic together.
in Rebels we learn that there are a number of different rebel cells operating individually throughout the galaxy.
These guys naturally could be one of those cells, working with a tiny fleet for support.
That said, the likelyhood of them being reused in official canon storytelling is probably about .01%. And the odds of them showing up in other FFG games in more than just artwork seems slim but possible.

I tend to agree. Which is too bad. I would have a lot more faith in the story group if something invented by FFG, anything, were to show up in other canon works. It would demonstrate they are actually doing their job and paying attention to even such niche licensees as FFG.
