Hi,
It is well known that the AOs from the base game are some of the more iconic mythos entities, but pale in comparison with AO from later expansions.
I propose that these AO are redesigned to bring them up to date and make them challenging again.
To get things staretd, here is a basic proposal for an Ithaqua redesign. Please comment and leave your own proposals here.

I'm kindof amused that you're doing this. I actually just finished my version of this last week (conceptually anyways, I still need to get three pictures and make the final heralds to go with the last few base game AOs. Then I will make a post that puts all of them in one nice little post. Have you seen my other base game heralds?
Here's my Ithaqua herald note:
General abilities
-Crippling Wind: blows all skill sliders to the left at the beginning of each upkeep (outside of stable locations and Other Worlds)
-cultists (Yeti? Wendigo?) have their toughness increased by three (that means Ithaqua's cultists will have a toughness of six) and do 2 damage.
-investigators adjacent to cultists can not use more than one movement point.
Ithaqua abilities
-physical immunity
-Frostbite: if an investigator goes unconscious in the streets, they lose one maximum stamina.
-winds in the street do one stamina and one sanity damage
-Crippling Wind continues during Final Battle

I *really* like the way you handled this. At first I wasn't so fond of tainted knowledge (but then I realized that it caused a mask to appear each time it was used) If you redo it as a herald, I'll print it out (I don't like reprinting the original components). Also, I think you mean to say location for the +1/endless bonus, not area.
