So he gives 1 guaranteed evade?
C3P0 ?
On a 1 agility ship if you guess 0 while rolling dice Yes
If you have more than 1 green dice it's not necessarily guaranteed
You have to guess the amount of evades your going to roll
So with 1 dice you guess 0
Roll
Blank you were right and you get evade from 3p0
If you roll an evade you don't get the evade from 3po but you rolled an evade anyway
If you rolled a Focus however you could get 1 from 3p0 if you guess 0 then spend the focus and turn to evade for a second
Based on the initial guess, yes. Juke cannot affect the one he provides but crack shot can.
more or less - on a agi-1 ship.
With the way most people use him, sort of.
The idea is to put him on the Falcon (or, more rarely, a B-Wing) since it only has one natural agility. You then guess "zero" as your number, because you'll then either roll one evade and be wrong, but still get that one evade, or you'll roll zero evades and then 3PO gives you one evade. No matter what you actually roll with one dice, C-3P0 guarantees you walk away with one evade.
The real "gambling" with him comes when the Falcon is almost dead and the player needs two successful evades to survive and is forced to guess "one", or for the brave few who run C-3PO on the Outrider.
Ok. Thanks. Y'all are awesome.
Hey Fuzzywookie not a huge deal, but did want to let you know that there is a subforum dedicated specifically to answering and helping with rules questions. These type of topics are best posted there. ![]()

Juke actually can, because his ability comes before any dice ate modified, and the rules for adding results instruct your to place a new die on the correct face with your other dice.
You guess zero, roll zero, add a die, and it is Juke away. It's another big ship counter.

There was another thread yesterday where the consensus when I left was the opposite, c3po adds his result during the defender modifies.

Further reading though shows that you are correct, my mistake.
Our consensus was based on what was apparently a faulty understanding of the rules. It was assumed and I will contend logically so... That the result from C-3PO happened in the Defender Modifies Defense Dice step, so Juke couldn't affect it.
However per the email from Frank, that's not true, the result is added right away so it's subject to Juke.
