Hello,

I wanted to ask for some suggestions about kitting out the T70 Red Squadron Veteran Pilots. I made the mistake of buying almost everything so I have almost all upgrade cards available to me, so just let me know what seems to work and what is a good combo. I'm not looking at fitting everything in a 100 points list or anything just seeing what seems to work or not.

Keep in mind that I do run following named T70pilots regularly with current fittings,

Poe Dameron

BB-8

PLT

IA

Ello Asty

R5-P9

Predator

IA

I do sometimes put Auto-thrusters on instead of IA occasionally.

I can fit named pilots out with out issues but when I get to generic pilots I am uncertain of what will work, any suggestions will be appreciated.

I like either Cool Hand, Predator or Opportunist when using using Poe with BB-8. 90% of the time you want to focus with Poe, and I know with BB-8 you can do "three actions" a turn with PTL, but why be stressed all the time. I like to take R2D2 or R5P9 for Poe, only for getting shields back. For Asty; probably BB8, PTL, Auto-thrusters, use his movement as much as you can

I think you got Asty and Poe's builds reversed

they're literally perfect for the opposite pilot (asty + bb-8 = t-roll that won't shut off bb-8 on the following round; bb-8 + ptl = ptl won't shut off Asty's ability)

as for Red Vet, only half decent one I've found is Predator + r2 astro + integrated for an even 30. Thrusters don't do much on low PS, especially when they can just dodge TLTs by boosting into range 1

Red Vets like predator or crack shot for offensive boost.

Targeting Astro + Flechette is a nifty combo (although probably best with crack shot). You'll have to take a red move eventually, and then you get a TL. When someone stresses themselves, give them a flechette torp for double stress.

Using anything else would have to be for a very specific build I'd think...

Red Ace + R2-D2 + Integrated Astromech looks pretty nice on paper and is easy. Just "fly casual".

I've run both of these builds (2 duplicated) along with either a HWK, TLT, Title & Jan Ors or a K-wing with TLT & Jan Ors. Opponents found then very frustrating to fly against and defend against.
