So I am possibly looking at moving to Taiwan and just wondering if there is a community there that plays? (seeing it as a non-English primary country) And whether I should consider bringing my gear along

Hi! I assume you're the same guy over in BGG X-wing forum asking about the same question. I've reply to you over there, but here's it again. (I would love to let ppl here to know about Taiwan's X-wing scene as well.)

We have a small community in Taipei that uses Facebook group as a well to connect players. We meet irregularly and mostly organize our meetup peer to peer. We are still looking for a regular place and time to meet. You should be able to search for us by google X-wing and Taipei or Taiwan.

I know there' a group of foreigner in Taichung that plays regularly on Thursday in their private residence.

You can find X-wing stuff here, if you know where to look. Some vender will import them. But most people I know brought it online or through local vender who can order online for them.
