Am I crazy to think I can do what I did yesterday with R2 by playing his command card and gaining control of all the terminals turn one. I guess it would work any turn but am I right in thinking he's an instant 15 pts?
15 Points instantly with R2 first Turn 4 player?
If we're a thinking about the same scenario..... R2 card works UNTIL start of next round and you check for control AT the start of the round
I didn't figure it would work that easy, but I have to look at the skirmish status phase again. Dang lol!
I'm not so sure. It seems like the status phase happens at the end of the round. That's when command cards are drawn for control too.
Please explain how you score 15 Points with R2-D2?
His command card gives you control of all terminals regardless of who is standing next to them. The objective card says at the end of the round score five VP for each terminal you control in enemy territory. In 4 player there are three enemy territories that you now control a terminal in. Therefore it should give you 15 pts. I'm probably missing something but makes sense.

If the mission states at end of round, it's totally legit since Network works until the start of the next round.
Also, IIRC there's 6 terminals on the 4 player map, meaning you got to draw 7 cards. I hope you won after that massive jump ahead of everyone, even discounting the 15 vp
Oh I did lol. It was pretty miserable to fight against especially with devotion and Luke and Leia in tandem too.
As the rules currently stand what you did was legal in the 4 player missions since R2 controls the terminals until the start of the round and the victory points are gained at the end. I don't think they want you to be able to do that though so I suspect an errata to move the victory point trigger to the start of a turn rather than the end.
I was just thinking that because man that's a dirty head start.
Ya we house ruled it so that R2 can only take control of one other terminal of his choice. This results in the same ability "power level" as the standard two player skirmish.
Even if you didn't get the victory points Drawing 7 command cards is game breaking. So this needs to be addressed.
I dont understand how they could possibly miss this ![]()

I for one don't have a lot of faith in FFG's diligence wrt ensuring balance and avoiding rules holes (not that this dampens my enjoyment of their games).
