Return of the Cluster Ffffurball meta?

It's a real shame that Scum is getting a Super Dash

Citation needed.

Need to please the ten year olds smearing ice cream on their face. We buff all the generic stuff and then we /still/ need to have Super Dash autowin against it.

Super Dash isn't even close to auto win these days, maybe instead of constantly insulting players who like that ship you should instead learn how to beat it.

Take higher PS with boost and barrel roll

???

you win.

not sure about the G1-a

personally don't think we'll be seeing much of it, sadly. Great offensive tech; still squishy. Maybe 4-LOM will make a showing

still, if crackswarm didn't change things back to furballs; nothing will.

now Jumpy will be a-okay. Deadeye + plasmas + munitions + r4 + GC = 34 points of immediate, fully modified better-than-hlcs. They will tear a hole through TLTs

won't be much of a *********** meta unless they face TLTs and aces exclusively, in which case Int agent can engineer some incredibly infuriating furballs :D

6x Crackshot lists haven't changed the meta because few people have 6 Crackshots. So it may be good but it's not very common and people can just cross their fingers and hope they don't get matched against it.

I know I won't have 6 in a long while. When Imperial Vets comes out my two copies of that will give me a total of 4, and I still don't know if I want to buy more K-Things, because I haven't even played the one I own, yet.

As an imp I don't fear tractor beams because the green buggers never come up evade anyway, so bring it b-wings you missing your attack only helps me!

Or just block him and watch him cry as you reduce him to space dust, not exactly hard. Sure, blocking Kanan Dash is harder but then he's losing action economy or dice mods.

Don't let the meta define what you fly. Fly what you want, and get good with it.

I still rock a two ship list using a Decimator, 'cause Palpatine and Vader is thematic as hell. Rule of Two, yo.

In my last two tournaments I made top 8 in a 45 man tournament (lost due to bad piloting, got fatigued) and top 4 in a 52 man, league style tournament. My opponents are contentiously surprised by my list, and also by how quickly and easily my Decimator jukes past their entire squad.

Fly your favorites, and fly them like a champion.

Control elements

Are mostly limited to single faction.

Ability to stack 2 stress onto some ace face without requiring you to hit it

requires either a stress-Y or a TLTactician. While putting one onto HWK might work, it's not a KuKluxStressKlan rebels have

It can be done in other ways but the Rebels have the most point efficient ways. Imperial Kath with Tactician and a Mango gun can double stress without hitting. Sure, it's more conditional that stressbot and waaaay more expensive but it can be done. The TIE shuttle will be interesting too giving the imps a cheap shell for Mara Jade or a tactician swarm. Flechette cannons on a Defender with the TIE/D could also be an unsung hero in the near future.

Back to the OP; I think the metas really going to be shaken up this year and is going to be blown wide open as people try to figure out lists to deal with all comers. Scum still feels a little left behind with its toolbox but Imps are getting closer to what the rebels can do.

Scum does still feel a smidge behind...but we haven't seen the last of the Scum cards for this wave. After that last preview, I'm a little on the optimistic side.

FWIW, I won three tournements last year. I have 5 Z-95's on the table each time. A local meta anonomoly? Perhaps. As the new wave is dropping, I am actually moving to 3-4 ship builds instead of 5-6. List building is important, but I think flying what you have is slightly more so. I am happy to see more variety, but the tired saw of Whisper/Decimator, brobots, or Corran/PWT is not going to completely disappear IMO.

I am concerned about TLT

I am concerned about the new Defender title being OP.

I think a couple of Scum ships need some tweaking and a small - platform bomber to be affectively caught up with the other factions.

I think ordnance might have gotten more of a boost that it needed, but not overly so.

I am happy with where most of the rest of things are. Fur balls of ships happen. That is ok.

That's because Fat Turretwing lists are actually still very good in our current meta and like the Phantom nerf, it wasn't actually that significant of a nerf.

Thank god people aren't smart enough to realize this. Also, **** me for saying this I'm shooting myself in the foot.

So your claim of disregarding the meta is BS. Your list is great in the meta, and telling that to other people is wrong. You have to take Acewing and Fat Turretwing lists into account when building a list or else you'll lose.

Compare costs, compare stress amounts, compare damage output.

mara jade? can't stack.

tactician swarm? 1\ship, not 2\ship

yeah, we CAN create whole lists dedicated to stressing, and reach rebel effectiveness of 30-50% of squad points.

We're not seeing meta shifts from TLT and Aces, that's my pessimistic view

Which is basically what I said. The Rebels have the most point efficient way of doing it.
