Hey all. I've played x-wing mostly for fun with friends at home for a while now. The new tourny season with free-Po is tempting me to try my first ever tournament. What do you think of this for a list?
2 x K-wing
Warden Squadron + TLT & Adv. Slam
Poe + R2D2, Autothrusters, VI
100 exactly

Edit: in terms of options I have pretty much everything except from scum. I have zero scum ships/cards other than the aututhrusters card.

You don't think it is worth it for a focus?
The build doesn't seem too bad to me, it'll come down to how you fly it. Just don't do what the opponent of my first experience of a K-Wing did (he was down to a K-Wing (Miranda) and i was down to Guri and 2 Khiraxz, he SLAM'd around the board for an hour and a half saying "it's my only chance to win", left a sour taste for K-Wings ever since, thankfully official games are timed).
The Advanced SLAM could be useful for gaining Target Locks as he darts around and they don't have a shot on him for later round. Also what else would he spend those 4 points on? maybe Dash (crew) on one K-Wing so they can't hide behind rocks against your TLT and not sure about the final 2 points (bid?). In the end, knowing what to bring to tournaments comes with practice and getting a feel for what works and what doesn't. Play testing what you want to bring is the best way to spot the flaws.

I thought about this but I'm not sure I'm at that level of awesome-ness to get enemies in arc all the time for it to proc.
Doesn't need to be all the time; just triggering it once or twice will ruin someone's day. In fact, it doesn't even need to happen at all, really; just the threat of it can make your opponent make moves he normally wouldn't, which can work to your advantage.
have to agree with this list I'd recommend dropping the Adv. SLAM because it's built with Connor's net in mind and won't help you much. Which now leaves you with 4 points to play around with. Tactician is a solid all around choice which you can't sneeze at.
Just remember the K-wing is squishy with it's only 1 AGI. Sometimes it really is wiser to SLAM out of arc than to take a salvo of concentrated fire.
