Yeah, waffles aren't 'murrican enough

This thread needs BACON

I think the real kicker for it on the Lambda is that it's just so cheap. The Lambda can fake getting some maneuverability with an Engine Upgrade and/or Advanced Sensors. Those are 3 and 4 points, respectively. The eBaffles give you a lot of the advantages of both of those upgrades for a single point (and some hit points). It allows you to retain the Lambda's absurdly good jousting efficiency, and gives you some maneuver tricks on top of it all.

I agree about the point savings, and that it has some use on the Lambda; however, I am not certain about the jousting efficiency. Jousting efficiency is partially based on the ship hit points (HP). Therefore, using the Baffle helps keep targets in arc taking advantage of the high jousting efficiency, yet in the same action reduces said efficiency. I have not done the math, so I am not sure how much a lose of one HP effects the Lambda, but I think that the benefit will be very situation.

so.. deathstar-waffles are not good enough for you? I smell rebel scum here.

also: bacon? you murricans would put bacon into your icecream, eh?

*files Order 68: "the bacon embargo"* :D

but jousting eff. is "just that" (no offense!); to see if a ship in a straight left vs right is doing okay.

in that situation, you don't trigger the waffle.

in a more conventional environment however, the waffle might/will be the difference between turning the cow around and shooting somebody in the face.. or continue grazing without doing any harm. 1point and 1 damage are a good thing in exchange for the opportunity to do the hurting, IMO.

Well at just one point, I'd hope it would be situational!

The upgrade is still potentially a huge boost to a number of ships, but most specifically the Lambda, the B-Wing and the G1-A Starfighter, all of which have a number of red moves on their dial. On it's own it makes the Shuttle that much more maneuverable (hell, a Shuttle feasting on Electronic Waffles can now quite happily sit in the same spot for ten turns should it so wish).
