some notes:

  • Stress (zuckus)

the lesser (imo) drawback with the lesser effect, Zuckuss is far easier to build for than his robot buddy.

Obvious combo potential with 4-lom (Pilot)

Immediate combo potential with Palob, whose ability works through stress and removes tokens to make the most of Zuckuss' ability

Gunner + Bossk Slaver also just doesn't care ever about his actions, so there's another potent set-up if you don't want to rock 4-lom on that bad boy

  • Ion (4-lom)

ion ******* sucks; ow! Fortunately, big ships need two to get wrecked by it

Most obvious partner is the Gunner + bossk + slaver. Ion + stress sucks, right? Who cares? Slaver's got a wide-ass arc and Bossk gives him all the mods he'll ever need! Absolutely disgusting ace killer

Unfortunate lack of in-arc restriction leaves it open for easy turret abuse. Note, dengar fans, not once per round. Will ion his ass, but it don't matter if everyone's dead ;)

E-baffle is obviously in the pack to make sure 4-lom doesn't completely wreck your Misthunter. Problem is, damage sucks. Maybe it'll be worth? I personally doubt it, as the Misthunter is plenty squishy as is

Take a damage to make sure the opponent is dependent on naked greens (via Electronic Baffle). Sounds good to me.

Soontir and Whisper suddenly feel a whole lot less safe.

need more mutli crew ships so we can slap the pair on the same ship. For the YV, I think the offensive mods from bossk + gunner are overall more useful than having both the new crew

Assuming, of course, that he uses one of his actions for a Focus. Which, 4-LOM forces him to do. So, no double movement, no Focus/Evade. It isn't exactly hard hitting, but you have force Soontir into a situation where he has to take a specific action, or face the consequences. Dictating what actions my opponent does sounds good to me.

And Whisper, Vader, and Corran will not be so lucky.

Even more so, you might make Soontir have to make a very hard decision when it's his turn to attack. Maybe he has the double focus, but he rolled triple eyeballs on the attack. He could use one Focus to cause likely damage, but in doing so could open himself up to a 4-LOM attack I will take each and every time.

One could load a Firespray or YV-666 with Homing Missiles + 4-LOM and just give the Baron a big ol' middle finger.

Heck, go with an EPT carrier to throw on CS for additional laughs.

I'm thinking about trying a Trandoshan Slaver with Bossk, Gunner, and Zuckuss for maximum ace-trolling power.

The effects on the defender are actually quite similar. If you deny the defender their focus (4-LOM), they'll get 0.375 evades per die. If they have focus and you force them to reroll all evade and focus results (Zuckuss), they'll get 0.39 evades per die, and they might have to spend their focus to do it (so it's not there for later attacks).

If the defender doesn't have tokens to spend, then Zuckuss is clearly stronger. So if you can build to deal with the stress, I like Zuckuss all around over 4-LOM.

I'm looking forward to Palob + TLT + Zuckuss + Wired :).

noticed a bit back that you can actually Zuckus to try and force evade results in order to trigger gunner + bossk :P

Palob steals a token and 4Lom blocks the other... then Zuckuss adds and extra attack dice to add salt to the wound.

Does 4-LOM get used during the "Modify Defender's Dice" step or the "Modify Attacker's Dice" step?

I think it's probably during the Defender's but I'm not certain. It's certainly much more useful if used then.
