This was 2012, and even then, it was pretty clear Lucasfilm was going to make more Star Wars movies. “I just have this very simple idea,” Knoll said, “about the rebel spies in the opening crawl of A New Hope who steal the plans for the Death Star.”

Kennedy got Knoll’s reference, of course. It’s at the beginning of the movie, in the ribbon of text that sets the scene: “Rebel spies managed to steal secret plans to the Empire’s ultimate weapon, the Death Star.” The plans are the MacGuffin, the thing everyone is chasing. The spies? No one mentions them again.

“That is a very good idea, John,” Kennedy said. So … green light. Apparently that’s how you get to make a Star Wars movie.

I'm excited for this movie too. I thought for awhile I could play a young Han. I'm dashing enough, I'm scruffy enough. And I'm definitely funny enough.

But seriously, I hope this movie rocks and I hope there is a brand new ship in this film that people fall in love with and it takes a spot alongside the Falcon and X-WIng and Tie Fighter.

Then maybe new Star Wars ships will be cool again and we won't have to quit playing X-Wing in three days, as some would suggest.

What do you guys think about this ship and quite possible more new ships becomming canon ships from the same era as our beloved x-wings, y- and a-wing, and Ties of all sorts. Can you handle it, and will this finally make and end to the discussion "we are running out of right era ships for the game" discussion (my guess is no) ?

I just hope they stylize the new ships to fit in with the old ones. They should'nt look way more advanced just because they are newer designs.

I think it would be great if this movie led to some new Y wing pilots for the rebels.

Anyone think any Characters from Rebels will make an appearence? The only two I would actaully WANT to make an appearence would be Callus or Kannan. I feel like they could be serious enough.
