stealth device +AT = happy Fel

The amount of times Fel has lived through Vader crits, auto blasters, etc has made me a strong believer in HU. Usually has the surprise effect on people as well, they don't expect the 4 health.

Just looking at cost/effectivity ration the Inquisitor is going to give everyone a run for their money. I expect him an Predator Vader/some version of Whisper to become the new Palpmobil standart.

Technically, he was. For like, two minutes. Then he died right after his master. But still, two minutes.

Is that from some EU source, or are you making an assumption that Vader automatically became Emperor when Palpatine died? I'd be surprised, since he wasn't even the highest ranking of Palpatine's subordinates, plus there were probably far more complex rules left over from the Republic.

Right, Juke and LW Vader work with Palp Shuttle and Fel.

I know missiles are not flavour of the month except on specialists but Proton Rockets look on paper like a good idea on Vader. Between high PS, Barrel Roll and Boost (assuming EU), it should be easy to line him up for a shot. And if your opponent flies into position without you need extra actions then you can TL for extra damage.

For 3 points, a one-off 5 damage missile seems handy. Or have people's experiences proven otherwise?

One on one Vader v. Soontir.... or ace vs. ace in a true dogfight, VERY fun and it could give you an insight to who may be better, for YOU, to fly in a squad.

When I did this Fel won 3 out of 3- but I still like Vader best.

I actually use predator Vader and targeting computer soontir fel and love it. People focus soontir no matter what because he's a ****. TC soontir actually hits like a truck and still has good defense while the silly ace hunter things like autoblasters don't just invalidate one of his upgrades, and you can actually afford to take a damage on the chin without losing half his power.

I've also tested x7 Vessery in soontir's spot with 1 point of choice and goodness gracious it makes a good list insanely nasty.

Yeah for Soontir SD is nice but Hull or if you can shield is sometimes the better choice. Depends if you are playing tourney/narrative. Narrative probably won' have you facing vader in a shuttle.

For best ace, well Vader is my personal favourite to field (with Maarek as his wingman typically). I acknowledge that Soontir and Whisper are both serious contenders. Yes. Whisper, still.

I found outmaneuver to be good on Vader, since he's usually out of arc. But, the meta at my gamining store doesn't favor high PS aces so the impact of VI just really isn't much.

For me predator. Since i'm likely not spending the target lock due to ATC the predator re-roll is NICE. Especially against low agility.

Maybe I'm not playing the right people or something but I find ps10 Poe annoying at worst. It's a minor inconvenience to have to guess movement but Poe doesn't have a great time pushing through tokens and Palp. His action economy is actually garbage, he just has a good ability to help. I think the offense from predator is a significant advantage over the extra bit of movement and shooting first.

Like seriously. Just from the sad fact of being usually PS11: VI EU ATC.

What kills him? Is he bad against anything?

Now I think I know why he was predicted as Tier1.

He's nowhere near the joy to fly that interceptors or A-wing aces are. Hes actually kinda clunky at least to me but I've never been able to fly him well honestly.

Vaders a bulldog taken for his damage potential and actually his shields and no self stressing. Hes dealt with by generics easier than interceptor aces but fairs better against opposing vader and rebel captive crews while trumping opposing aces. IMO hes not the best ace but hes in contention.

Oh I meant the emperor giving Vader some modification not the shuttle waddling up to a tie fighter. Even if leader survives a turn I'm still not sure his average of 1 hit rolled is doing much to frighten 5 hp Vader, even if he doesn't need to spend evade so he can juke.

Well palp ace lists should usually endeavor to focus fire a ship at a time as much as possible to maximize the 2 ships that regularly are shooting, but other than that yes 1v1 it's a slap fight. 2 dice vs. 2 dice, one with juke one without. Not going to be pretty or fast unless dice roll hot but el presidente does likely win in that vacuum.
