As the imperial player, you can read the entire mission events and know all the hidden surprises before starting the mission. So in certain missions, you might know the exact space an important ally would appear after an "end of round effect" triggers. So... If the defeat of that ally is the ONLY imperial victory condition, how many of you IP's would end the round with a focused nexu waiting adjacent to that space to defeat that ally immediately (the ally doesn't have enough movement to get far enough away from the nexu to avoid 6 speed and pounce)
Imperial player question
Personally, I wouldn't. What player wants to lose with literally zero chance of success?
Besides, my nexus like to play with their food for awhile before they eat delicious faces.
If were talking about the mission with the rescue, I did something very close to that. The ally died, we moved on. Less wasted time and faffling about that way.

It just strikes me as such a cheap move, since the rebels don't know what will happen, and context wise the imperial shouldn't know EXACTLY where the ally would "appear"...down to the very space I mean. Seems the rebels should be able to place him in a certain region, or the ally should be untargetable for the first round, or his sudden appearance should STUN imperials within the 3 spaces, or something.

The setup puts imperial units there at the beginning, encouraging you to kill, and the rebels are well aware of the location as primary objective at the beginning. If they wanna go chasing terminals and forget their primary objective, summary executions are in order.
Are we talking about Imperial Hospitality, right? The Royal guards there are just screaming "Kill that guy"

i was referring to Fly Solo. I didn't open the door, so Han showed up wounded and my wife IP had just moved a focused nexu adjacent to the exact square Han would appear at the end of the round. Then proceeded to take him down to two HP and bleed after his activation. Exploiting her special knowledge as IP in a cheap way I thought
It doesn't even need that level to win that mission. He just got shot down by the guys behind him in the next turn when we played that mission. I just overall think Fly Solo isn't very well balanced, as even if you open the door in time he isn't well set up to escape.

I dunno. I had cleaned house pretty well in the first three rounds. She had IG, two reg stormies, and a probe droid. The stormies were the only ones near Han, and without that nexu placed where it was, Han could easily have survived for awhile.

I know that one,
I read it wrong and didn't follow instructions. didn't open the door. I did enjoy a fluff moment of "oooh a door for the Royal Guards to stand either side of IT MUST BE GUARDED!" then realised the door would have opened and splat...
