Hobbie, Tarn and Biggs really are those who benefit most from IA it seems. Low cost, great abilities, good efficiency. Looking forward to IAs release in Germany!
I think I have a viable quad X-Wing list, with a few variants. Yes, they have T-65's in them. Also R7.
I feel like 4 T65s probably benefit from at least one of them having r3a2. It's not a Stresshog, but it still causes problems, and doesn't necessarily carry itsown stress all game.
You can easily get Porky + R3-A2 + IA + Wired.
If you fire the last shot in the volley, use Porkins to clear the stress, K-Turn for hilarity.
If don't fire the last shot, keep the stress for Wired and Porky is a little tankier.
I have tried the r7 on e-wings with FCS. It can be very effective, but you could only get 3 of them, your list looks very interesting indeed.
Will probably beat scrubs and people also running low generics but there's no way you're gonna bear high ps arc dodgers.

Actually Biggs helps versus this alot! But I do agree with you mostly

I came within a hair of killing a Soontir Deci list with it.

Tarn - R7, IA
Hobbie - stressbot, IA
2x Red Squadron with R5/R2, IA.
Put this together for a teaching game. It may have potential.

I get Biggs + Tarn, but why do you need the Rookie and the Red? They don't have the PS to lock onto who they want, and they don't have Tarn's ability for defensive focus focus + R7 combo.
It's cute to see a 4X list, but really I think it'd be much better with a StressHog in there to make the most of R7s rerolls. It's always a pain having to worry about rerolling focus results or not, so why not just lock down their actions and make Tarn practically unkillable?

I tell you this because you sir are a T-65 aficionado like myself. I was extremely skeptical of IA being the "fix". I also am a proud supporter of MJ's work, he's not always right, but he's right far more often than not.
I finally got my T-70 xpacks with IA. I took a 4 X list for a spin, mostly to test out some new droid ept combinations. What a difference. All I can tell you is I would never take a naked blue over a rookie with R2 + IA. That little bit of survivability has done wonders for the 2 green dice.
I'm not Warpman trolling you. If you haven't put a 4 X list on the board post IA, and knowing how much you adore the X-Wing, you need to get:
Biggs + R4-D6 + IA
Tarn + R7 + IA
Hobbie + Targetting + IA
Rookie + R2 + IA
On the table ASAP. There is nothing cute about this list. Anybody laughing will stop when that rookie rips 2 shields off a stresshog and green 2 turns in behind it at range 1. Tarn is a monster, Hobbie white Kturns with a TL and focus, and Biggs screws with target priority.
I've had more fun these last 2 weeks with the X-Wings than I've had in the last couple of years. To your point though, you can easily drop Hobbie and pick up a stress bot if the mood suits you. Hell you could drop Tarn and put a TLT Y-Wing as well. The named mid-PS X-wing is back baby!!!
Wedge w/ IA, BB-8, Adaptability (Assuming it's a flippable card, rather than a pair-card)
Rookie w/ IA, R2
Rookie w/ IA, R2
Pluse your choice of:
Tarn w/ IA, R7
Gold w/ Ion, R3-A2, BTL-A4
Biggs w/ IA, R4-D6 (Drop Wedge to a 1pt Droid)
Jousty, with Wedge as a PS10 ace-hunter. Not quite as hunting as Poe, sure, but still scary as all getout.
Alternatively, run Luke, IA, BB-8, Adaptability for a PS9 X-wing with pretentions to durability. ![]()
So many choices!

Thanks for the advice and the list (it's nice to have a contrary opinion that isn't 'T-65 fine as is, git gud). I've been having great times with Biggs and Tarn, but I'd never've thought to put 4X in a list, because I can never find the pilots worth taking. IA only seems to really, really work on a few named pilots, and the only two I'd gotten to work were Biggs + R4-D6 and Tarn + R7. Wedge, Luke and the other high PS ships still can't hack it in my opinion.
That said your Hobbie does seems deadly, even if only one one maneuver. Still, I can't help thinking with my mathwing head on, and replacing Hobbie with a Stresshog just seems like a no brainer. Fact is, I can't make a pure X-wing list work.
3 Ace65 fell flat on it's face from wave 1, and still hasn't managed to pick itself up, and IA doesn't change that.
4Mid65 works thanks to IA, but there aren't enough named pilots with a killer droid combo for a low cost, or at least not enough to make me not want to include a Stresshog instead of one of them.
Edited by jimmiusOh I agree on the Stressbot Y-Wing. Boneheaded mistake on my part, no clue how I overlooked that. The first list I talked about in the OP is getting changed to fit the Stresshog in. Still keeeping the Rookie Pilot in though.
The idea is that even a rookie pilot with R7 is a defensive monster provided you predict defensive TL's correctly, which is easier because for the first few turns Biggs protects the other ships long enough so they can get it set up.
IA actually works great in a quad Rebel list that has 3-4 X-Wings in it. It's 3-4 free health.

Amen. This whole post is full of win.
