Ran a CrackStim BroBot list for the first time last night...

Did extremely well against a varied 6x Tie/ Tie FO swarm. How does this list hold up overall? Thanks in advance.

Thinking about the same thing for store championships but with HLC instead. Curious to hear opinions as well.

I've tried the HLC version. I found it to be sort of ... easy? The beginning of the match can be really tough, but once you clear out a ship or two (depends on how many ships you're facing), the rest of the match almost plays itself out. At least, that's how I felt when I tried it out, but I wasn't facing TLTs or anything like that.

TLTs are not a huge threat to IGs. Boost and Autothrusters make short work of them most of the time. I chose the 2 cannons instead of HLC because of the potential range 1 encounters where HLC doesn't allow a gunner shot. I used Ion Cannon last night to really muck up my opponents formation.

I like it. I've been flying the HLC version and doing OK with it, but I am a big fan of ion effects. I've been experimenting with non-B IG's, but I think he just has to be taken. :(

IG B is basically a given in a dual aggressor list for good or bad. It's the best ability out of the 4. How would Crackshot IGs stack up against VI IGs though?

VI feels a lot more situational to me. You'll rarely find a match where both crackshots don't get spent, but you'll find quite often that the two points to get both Iggies up to PS8 will just be entirely wasted because all of your opposing ships are either greater than PS8 or below PS6. It's relatively rare that VI is worth taking when it's not getting you up to PS9+.
