Thinking about running:

Jake Farrell (24) with A-Wing Test Pilot (0), Chardaan Refit (-2), Push the Limit (3), Outmaneuver (3), Autothrusters (2) [30]

Etahn A'baht (32) ​with BB-8 (2), Veteran Instincts (1), Advanced Sensors (3), Shield Upgrade (4) [42(!!)]

Blue Squadron Pilot (22) with Extra Munitions (2), Plasma Torpedoes (3), Munitions Failsafe (1) [28]

Gave Etahn VI so that he can weasel the early-movers into his firing arc, and gave him a bit more mobility for that purpose. Jake mops fools up, the Blue Squadron Pilot gets in and annoys whoever he can for as long as he can.

Etahn is fun but it is hard to get his worth out of a 100 point list. I made a rebel swarm of sorts for an escalation league and added him at the 120 point level and it worked out pretty well. Straight up murdered some TIE fighters with the crits giving me direct hits.

I don't know if having only 2 other ships (one of them being an A-wing) will justify using him. The more ships you have, the more value you get out of him so I wouldn't run him with other aces either, but that's just me.

Some ideas I have for 100 point level but haven't tried yet would be to get him down to 40 points and then you can run 5 z95s to use to block for him to keep him alive and set everybody else up for shots on a tokenless target to get them crits in. I also had a thought kinda going the other way with it but running him with 2 blues equipped with HLCs. This way they can possibly get 4 hits turning one to crit and punish early. Then it also makes the decision of trying to go after Etahn first much more difficult if 2 HLCs are pounding you to death, scoring crits, so he may last longer. Just some thoughts. I do like his ability, it is just difficult to spend so much on an E-wing without really getting full value for it at the 100 point level.

I always run two Blues with Etahn to get the best out of 3 dice primaries. FCS to add target locks so you have TL focus attacks and Etahn improves them to crits so it is like having free mangler cannons with range bonus at R1

Why bb8 and advanced sensors? Both can give you barrel roll before your dial?
