I just wanted to thank the good folks at FFG for the astounding level of player support with the new website online; this client-friendly approach is a winner in my book!!! And having new stuff added EACH DAY is just too much goodness...
FFG getting better every day

client-friendly? I guess you and I have different ideas about what makes a forum "friendly". This certainly doesn't come anywhere CLOSE to qualifying for me:
- Way too slow
- Severely limited functionality
- Overly flashy - hard to find the content under the clutter
- Navigation from one forum to another is a chore (no "quick jump")
I found the OLD site to be much more "client friendly" than this one. Yet nothing seems to be done to address the clunkiness - at least nothing I've been able to see.
You'd think after two weeks of this nonsense they'd at least have the sense to pull the website offline until they can work out the bugs, rather than making us slog through it and get more and more frustrated by it.
I'm glad you've found it to be a good place, though. I don't know if that's the consensus though.
I feel that's a bit harsh. The forum connection IS slow indeed... but compared to other companies, such as Hasbro, FFG does shine a lot. As we say in French (it rhymes), "we see ourselves and feel desolate, but we compare and feel consoled".
I don't think that it is particularly unfair, since many of the functions that people come to expect for a forum are absent here. In many ways I feel that I'm looking at a well done version of the Drupal forums, which have always been a bit... lame. (And if they could get that up and running I'm sure that they would be a forerunner in CMS...) Erm, but that's by-the-by.

Are we looking at the same Hasbro site? I just went there and did a quick search for some random instruction manual, and found what I was looking for very quickly.
Sure, it's not the BEST site in the world. But in terms of "usability", it's makes this forum look like it was put together by a 3-year-old. It WORKS, it works FAST, and it was relatively easy to find what I was looking for with minimal clicks.
Sure, Hasbro's site doesn't have a forum, so it's harder to compare. And maybe when you were saying "FFG does shine a lot", you were refering to the quality of their products, not their website. But Hasbro's web site is much, much, much, much, much, much easier to use than this one is at the moment. And the slowness issue is only ONE of the things making this FFG site much less useful than the OLD FFG site was.
If I had the choice, I'd use the old site any day above this one. There, I could find what I wanted very fast. Here, I get sick of waiting for pages to load, having to make extra clicks just to navigate where I want, and overall get frustrated coming here to the point where I'm not even sure if I want to continue buying products from them, not as a boycott, but because I'm just tired of this hassle.
Thats not FFGs work building the site this way, they just paif dor it. And there are way better webpages from different game distributors out there. And freindly is an adjective not accurate for this.
