I am the B-wing pilot in question, and I will admit that my dice were spectacularly good in the first couple rounds of combat. Also, after replaying the game a couple of times in my head during the 1.5 hr drive home, I found where I made mistakes that could have cost me the game. Had I saved my Prox Mine one more turn, Vader would have been hit by it, hopefully taking out his shields. Had I only K-Turned on of my B's after the first round of shots, the one that had no shots would have either range 1-ed Vader or Howl. Had I focused on Vader more earlier than Howl, it would have benefitted me more in the late game. Playing a game to completion is also a little new to me, since I haven't made it to a final in a tournament cut before. Had his dice been better during the first volley/joust I could have lost more than just one B-Wing, it took all 3 crackshots to kill that B.
All that said, Jacob flew Vader like a BOSS. He was a pleasure to play against, and an all around great player. We had two different range 1 volleys at each other, between Vader & remaining B, to finish the game, & the dice failed us both during the first. I think I got Vader down to 1 or 2 hull before he finally killed the B.
AJ Babcock hates my BBBK list with a passion. I had to beat him twice in two consecutive rounds to make it to the final, and he lost to it in a different store championship a couple weeks back.
Also, my name is Jarrod, not Jarod like the results said...
