2016 Store Championship Results

Triple U Boat can alpha strike hard, but they themselves are surprisingly fragile since they don't use focus on defense unless the alternative is death. Crack Blacks tear them apart.

I think Juke is pretty amusing against them as well. "Your Evade is downgraded to an eyeball. Oh look, you have a Focus token just sitting there." You basically make the Scout take straight damage, or you downgrade their offense for a turn from "best in the game" to "slightly better than a HWK with Focus".

I've been thinking about Overclocked R4 as a way to deal with mirror matches or lists that go for an early PS kill against scouts. It's worse than the R4 Agromech in general, but it can be quite good when one of your scouts is getting focused down. Spend focus on every defense roll and still get your torpedoes off with focus + GC. Then you're sitting on a pile of stress, but it's better than dead. Gives you a couple extra points for some of the cheap Scum crew as well.

What the whatting what.

Gonna have to tell one of my buddies about that, he's a huge fan of A-Wings. That sounds like the toughest Crackswarm so far!

Out in Phoenix, one of our top members used this squad to get into Top 8 in our 50 person Store Championship over the weekend. One opponent dubbed it the Chihuahua Storm.

Ha! Ordnance is here. I like it.

Maybe people will start taking 3 x Transdocian Slavers to fight the U-boats?

Would that be the best option?

It's legitimately possible that the U-boats wipe a slaver off the board before it even gets a chance to shoot...

Ya my thought too. Plasma torp strips nearly all of its shields, Proton torp slaps a crit through nearly guaranteed, and the 3rd has a good shot at finishing it off.

ignoring the crits the uboats have to roll perfect, and the slaver can only evade 1, for the 1 round,

non perfect red dice and 1 evade, or just 2 evades ruin it

It actually depends on where you roll that evade. If the first Plasma salvo lands 4 hits, it'll strip 5 shields, leaving "only" 7hp for the other 2 to get through.

[Dunno what I was thinkin' ... ]

Against a YV-666, it's pretty much guaranteed you'll get the Plasma effect on the first hit and not on the second or third, regardless of where you roll an evade.

Plasma with TL + Chips vs. 1 agility (no focus) is an average of 3.31 hits. So 3 torpedoes plus the one bonus plasma damage puts you at 10.9 average damage. It's certainly possible to finish off a YV-666 with three Plasma Torpedoes, but it usually won't happen. However, the 1-2 health it has left will be pretty easy to finish off with PWT attack(s) later.

Nice to see A Wings doing some finals work.

2nd: Franz

Shuttle, Empreror

Soontir Fel, PTL, AT, RG, SD

That is quite the initiative bid. :)

Whoops, forgot to list his Carnor, sorry. That player would never be that drastic with initiative bid ;-)

I won a store championship last saturday.

List was 2 syndicate thugs with tlt. 1 with overclocked r4 the other with seismic charges.

1 z95 binayre pirate with feedback array.

1 jumpmaster contracted scout with overclocked r4, k4 security droid, guidance chips, plasma torps, extra munitions.

And deadeye

I took first at my store using Vader with juke and ATC, Juno with VI and ATC, two Academy Pilots and Wampa.

I think ARC dodgers will dominate the Meta soon. They have good chances against the tripple jumpmasters and wreck the other counters.

My personal tournament report: https://community.fantasyflightgames.com/topic/206101-2016-adelaide-south-australia-store-championship-hosted-by-infinity-games/

Note: The top 4 and finals were recorded, but they are in the production stage.

There was a Store Championship at MWO Games in Bristol, Tennessee on Sunday, March 20. I kinda ended up running it. There were only 13 players and short on time, so we didn't have a cut. Here are the results: http://lists.starwarsclubhouse.com/get_tourney_details?tourney_id=1401

Chris Cole in 1st: Miranda, Poe Dameron with R5-P9, and Stress Bot

Ric Watts in 2nd: Contracted Scout + Deadeye + R4 Agromech + Extra Munitions + Plasma Torpedoes + Guidance Chipsx3 with a Boba Fett.

Justin Battenberg in 3rd: Airen Cracken, Jan Ors + Predator + Twin Laser Turret + Nien Nunb,
Miranda Doni + Twin Laser Turret + Extra Munitions + Homing Missiles + Chewbacca + Guidance Chips
Ryan Sliwoski in 4th: Colonel Vessery + Heavy Laser Cannon + Twin Ion Engine Mk. II, Omega Leader + Juke + Comm Relay, The Inquisitor + Push the Limit + Tie/v1 + Autothrusters

All in all, fun was had, ships were flown. My own Boba Fett launched into a Ghost, looked at Han Solo and the TLT and decided to rip out the TLT before blasting away. I partially regret not assassinating Han Solo with Boba, but TLT was the real danger.

I think ARC dodgers will dominate the Meta soon. They have good chances against the tripple jumpmasters and wreck the other counters.

You mean to say nothing is going to change? :P

I never thought this list would be competitive. I actually only have ran it twice and have won with it twice. Maybe I need to run it some more. I can't wait for Long Range Scanners. That way you can drop Cracken for an A-wing blocker.

Regen has been dominanating since wave 7 and the TFA core.

Actually Brobots and the Palpaces to counter them around here. Poe and Miranda both suffer against an all too common VI Vader.

Hey thats me!

The list is crazy fun, but has some definite weak points. i was able to final table with it on saturday and top 4 on sunday for a total of 8-2, both losses to the eventual winners.

In my first tournament ever, my 3 K-Wing list finished 4-0 1st in Swiss only to fall to an Imp list (Vader, Wampa, Colzet, PalpShuttle) in the first top 4 match. I have only been playing X-Wing for a month or so. I was very excited to compete in my first tourney

Table’s Edge – Amarillo, TX – 22 players (7 Rebel, 8 Imperial, 7 S&V)

My list (100):

Miranda Doni (K-Wing) + Lando Calrissian + TLT (38)

Warden Squadron Pilot + TLT + Tactician (31)

Warden Squadron Pilot + TLT + Tactician (31)

Up next, have another SC on Saturday. Toyed with double Ghost and double JM5K builds, but I’ll be running the 3 K-Wings again instead with a little variant.
