Yep. Ten Numb is really match up dependent. He's either super deadly and awesome, or he's a very expensive B-wing that gets TLT'd to death.

Missed 4th place with my 8 Z-95s by 9 points...
And one list I barely beat (4 AdvSen B-Wings) is playing the one list I barely lost to (Boba, 2 TLT Ys) in the finals.
Though I had an epic game against a Boba/IG-B that I pulled a win out at the last second by using my last 4 Zs to take the full health IG-B to dead in two turns, so there's that. If I was able to kill the 1h Boba as well I would have been in 4th, but considering I did 8 damage to IG-B like that, I can't complain.

That was a great game Tommy! Though I'm really disappointed I never got to drop that Seismic Charge on the swarm

You had plenty of chances. Though you'd hit IG-88B each time as well.

I won the Store Champ at Isle of Gamers in Santa Clara, California. 34 players. Bernie will be getting the lists entered at some point.

Notable events for and against me:
I played a mirror-match against Crack/Glitter/FCS Brobots. The player was a super-nice guy (looked like Sebastian Shaw from the X-Men) and a fine player, but non-AdvS Brobots just cannot hang.
I lost to Dave G in Swiss. I think he is the only player I have played multiple times and never beaten. Not only is his maneuvering flawless, but he has mastered some trick in just switching off my dice. It's uncanny. I can't even tell y'all how glad I was that Bernie had to tackle him in the semis.
In perhaps the worst match-up he could have asked for (in the semis), James R flew really well and gave me what-for. In fact, against a symmetrical Brobots build, it would have ended at 50-50, and (with init), he'd have won. With my asymmetrical build, he half-killed both 'Bots ... and scored 49! Jeeeeeesus.
I murderized two ships (including a shieldless Darth Vader) with perfect three-hit ProxMs. They never failed to do damage, including against a Palpatine modification. They rolled two crits against Howlrunner in Dave G's list, but neither was DH or ME ...
Edited by Jeff WilderCongrats, Jeff!
I haven't even been able to play in one yet, but I'm hoping to get to two in March.

Yeah, but 2nd, 4th, and 5th says something! Swarms aren't dead/non-viable. Especially the Z-95 kind.

I know you've heard me say it multiple times: swarms are not, nor were they ever, nor will they ever be, dead. They are good against almost everything, just difficult to fly, especially over a long day.
Considering the sheer quantity of Rebel lists I saw, I'm a bit amazed at the dominance of the Empire in the Top 4.Card Kingdom in Seattle, WA

And you know I agree. That comment was directed more to the non-believers.

Swarms are totally not dead. I've managed to rip up swarms with my list before, including one that very day. Crackshot however is a fantastic force multiplier, and forces your opponent to overspend on tokens and modifications like Palpatine. I think it is an essential upgrade for modern swarms that don't take munitions.
Also try running a two aces build against a swarm after a long day. Especially when they pretty much all have crackshot or juke. It is not easy flying, and the mindgames and second guessing are definitely real. I won't deny the very real difficulty in flying a swarm, but aces are not that much easier and have very little room for error.
Considering the sheer quantity of Rebel lists I saw, I'm a bit amazed at the dominance of the Empire in the Top 4.
Not sure there. Only ended up playing one Rebel list myself, and it gave me the biggest challenge besides the crack swarm. Dueled a Poe down from full health to dead with a one hull Vader for the win. Mostly played against other Imperials, including both the winner and other Imperial top 4 in swiss.

Still cursing my failure to use that target lock! But that was a hell of a game. Grats on your finish!
Edited by PhantomFOso i build this based on bred an doughertys list in the above and was surprised to see it work so well. Very smooth build. Beat crack iggy/boba and the list felt smooth.
