Generic Tie Advanced in competetive environments

That's where vessery comes in he either lands a TB hit removing soontir's SD and knocking him down to two agility or he forces fel to spend his tokens to avoid the hit leaving him with naked dice.

Yes vessery is a priority target but he's got six hit points he's not that vulnerable at range three and by the time they are at two they will be down a ship.

A pack of Tempests, on the other hand, are a genuine threat to Vessery who's largely relying on naked green dice to see him through. That's exactly the sort of opponent who's not going to enjoy the Chinese water-torture of constant Accuracy Corrector attacks.

Edit: Oh, and that's not to even mention the fact that the chances are in the first round of shooting the Tempests won't have gotten close enough to Soontir on their turn to Target Lock him, so Vessery's pilot ability probably wouldn't be kicking in.

Have you flown fel? Green dice hate his guts the very last thing you ever want is to trust his survival on naked dice, Hell I've had him roll six blanks before at range five of a cr-90 on the very first turn.

I believe it was a Canadian nationals list last year that had 3 TIE Advanced with AC and Fel.

I like the idea of the build, though I've run Vader/Juno/Palpmobile and been intrigued by how it works. Juno has AC, Mk II, and PtL while Vader is a standard EU, ATC, and VI. I got shredded my first game out due to poor flying. My second game was better and Juno did her job of mid range plinking. I would evade with her and PtL barrel rolls in as needed. I'm afraid that as I have my list there is too low of firepower to really be worthwhile, though Vader/Emperior dropping crits all over the place in my second game really helped, so I dunno.

Going to play it more this week and see what I think.

I've been running something very similar to this Savage however am trying out the ATC on both pilots. I went 4-1 recently and think I'll run it again tomorrow at a local league night to see if it's got teeth. Me being a gumby pilot however doesn't make an accurate representation if the list is good or not however keep in mind! Can't help but feel however that Palps so a huge point sink for what he brings to the table.

I'm a new player so the list has been a challenge. I screw up moves and guesstimating my opponent a lot which doesn't help in getting focused fire onto a target. Then add the dice into the mix and it all sums up with me needing to play more! :D

:P

In the scenario we're talking about here - two 3-dice attacks followed by AT BEST 3 lots of 2 hits - I'll take the miniscule odds of my dice totally blanking out against the much-more-likely odds of my opponent wasting an entire round shooting at the toughest target in my list. There's a reason that everybody's mantra for fighting Palpatine Aces is "Shoot Whichever Ace Isn't Soontir First".
