The ugliest Canon ship Ever

By patox, in X-Wing

From underneath it's almost got a shark like look, like a basking shark, where that big docking bay door almost looks like a mouth.

Still prettier than the rebel transport :P

Them's fighting words!... :P

It's ugly, but it feels like a functional freighter at least. To be honest the fact it has apparently zero armament makes it less likely to appear IMO.

Action: once per round you may swallow one small or large base ship at range 1. Treat that ship as destroyed

Pretty much all of the ships and vehicles in the new movie that aren't based on preexisting designs (line x wings and tie fighters) are really, really boring, just flying boxes.

The lack of any seriously cool NEW ships is one of my biggest disappointments with TFA.

The visual aspect of TFA simply does not have the same level as other Star Wars films. I don't know what the particular differences are, and it doesn't even have to be a negative aspect of the film (some of the best movies are visually not that stunning), but this represents the biggest difference in style.

Well "cool" is highly subjective.

Personally, I think this ship looks really cool.

While not canon, i think the ugliest ship award still goes to the e-wing.

No, this is the ugliest [and most terrible idea for a] ship in the Star Wars universe:

I'll take that hands down over a rebel transport from TFA. At least it looks functional... the transport doesn't really... and I'm not sure why stormtroopers are storming the beaches of Normandy again either. I admit, I was watching the movie looking at ships and thinking X-Wing. Hopefully we get something in the next movie, cause this one didn't provide much in the way of new frames I want to fly.

But what about the space turds / star dongs? (Calimari cruisers, lancer frigates, carrack cruisers, dreadnought class medium cruisers (the dong ones, not the squared off ones).

I like that one too!

I like Han's transport. It looks like what it is and functional.

Another factor in the design is probably that the outside partially reveals what the inside looks like. They're running around in Alien 3-like corridors, and the outside of the ship looks like a kind of map for those scenes. This way, it is easier to see for the audience what is going on.

As I recall, however, there were not enough shots of the outside of the ship to actually make this work (for me at least), but I think that this idea played a role in the design phase.

And here I came all this way thinking we were having a discussion about the Kwing.

So, when wave 4 just came out, I was playing a game at my local store with a friend, testing out the new Ewings which I won two of! (Went to a lot of AoA tournies) I was so excited to see Corran, a childhood favourite, on the board in front of me. I was doing pretty good, and we were having a fun game when a kid, probably around 12 comes along. He asks who's winning, and I say I am. He replies with
"Oh, you should be losing."
"Why?"
"Because your ship's so ugly it should make to you too sad to win."
My friend and I both agreed I should take 1 burn damage for that.

Yeah, that dorsal cannon is ugly and impractical. How do you even get into the **** thing?!?

That is really bad, the resistance troop transport isn't much better.

I hope we get the hobbled together boomerang lookin' thingy. The cockpit is from the B-wing Mk2... and has cannons that can shoot backwards, torpedo launchers and big blasters ...with crew.

Can't wait! I want 2.

I'm not exactly a fan of this ship. I'm sure it'll grow on me in time, but it just doesn't do anything for me. But hey, some ship needs to be at the bottom of the I-like-this-ship list.

I like Han's transport. It looks like what it is and functional.

Tell that to Kanjiklub.

Ugliest ship we have a model for is without a doubt the flying half brick known as the 'Hounds Tooth'

Star Wars has a monopoly of ships that are so ugly they are beautiful. The Mil Falcon's claim to glory is just this.
The entire Rebel faction is this (and scum too, kinda). Stark contrast to the clean lines of Imperial ships.

The Hounds tooth does look like a flying-brick-turd though.

This ship, the freighter. Looks practical and utilitarian. It fits star wars.

Ugliness = not Imperial.

Ugliness = not Imperial.

Star Galleon.

Lancer Frigate

Scimitar Bomber (ok, I kinda like this one).

TIE Punisher

Nebulon B Frigate (I like these too).

Carrack Cruiser (I like these but come on...)

Arguable the Delta Class Escort shuttle (I like and own these).

This Said: Anything by Cygnus Spaceworks.

The DX-9

Most TIE's.

Star Destroyers, from raider up.

ARGH KITTENS!!!

I never understood why the E-Wing wings weren't mounted on the top of the hull instead of the bottom. At least then it would make an E-shape.

It reminds me of the Alien films. So do the scenes within.
