Open group for the finale *SPOILERS*

Just curious, what is everyone's favorite open group card overall? (Elite Trando's?) And what did you bring to the final mission in YOUR campaign, and why?

Tagged for spoilers because I am sure spoilers will be discussed here moving forward.

I's say Rathtars, but they're only available in the Mercenary faction - I can't remember if the finale allows that or not. If you've earner her, I'd bring in Mara Jade.

If nothing else, definitely go with the Dark Troopers. Those things are the bomb.

I admit that I over-relied Royal Guards when running my campaigns (and I'm glad that they're nerfed now). Aside from them, I think I got the most value from Probe Droids (using Tech Superiority) and Nexus (since they're cheap, mobile, and apply automatic bleed).

The best success I had in the finale was with Royal Guards and Elite Stormtroopers. Swarms and swarms.

Although, I did have open group cards, I didn't use them. I play that the heroes must withdraw in order for empire to win. This makes sense thematically (this is the end and they have nothing left to lose) and from a balance stand point (at least with legendary heroes). In the end it was great! Vader chopped down Gharkie while trying to hold off against Fenn. A few stormtroopers fired at Fenn as well. I spent all of my threat at this point on blocks for Vader. Finally Fenn just needs to score 1 more damage on Vader. First attack he barely misses thanks to the added blocks. Second attack he misses because all of his cards are exhausted. Finally Vader swings his saber and finishes off a commando who cannot use his Take Cover ability. It was super fun on the edge of your seat fun that would not have happened had I spent the threat on more figures.

Honestly, I have played both of the finales twice and there is just very little chance the heroes are going to win these. You get so many reserved groups, and the missions are very much weighted towards the imperial winning these.

Depends a bit on which finale, but the non-nerfed Reg Royal Guards are great (not sure if you incorporated the new rules, personally I like the new royal guards). Elite Royal Guards are still amazing. Im not a huge fan of the elite trando's, I think the regular are better for their point value. Elite stormies for sure are amazing. Need a low level one under 6 deployment also. I tend to like Reg stomries if you have good attachments, or the eltie Nexu. And if you have the expansion, Reg heavy stormys
