The plan is to use the A-wings as blockers and cannon fodder while Poe flanks and Dutch punches hard. What do I do to improve?

If you have Extra munitions it would be a great replacement for the second Proton, then you can upgrade from Hull upgrade to Shield upgrade on Poe, that would sync better with R2-D2.
Between the ion turret and protons that Y-wing is gonna be spoilt for choice for what to do each round, I bet the Ion cannon OR torpedo points would be better spent on an Elite talent for Poe, predator together with Fire control system would mean that a focused Poe practically never misses
How do you get Fire control system on to Poe?
So the A-Wings are the close escort for the Y-Wing, and Poe does a fighter sweep? I like it. I've come up with a similar idea for a build I'm calling 'The Imperial Strike Package'.

That's 97 points, so you could upgrade some if you want to.
The advantage here is that Poe's ability synergizes very well with that droid.
If you really want Proton Torpedoes, don't take them x 2 - take only one and then Extra Munitions, that'll save you 2 points and give you the exact same result.
