So I am interested in getting Force and Destiny to go along with Edge of the Empire, and would get the Beginner Game. I have the Eote core book, but was wondering how different character creation is between the games. Would I HAVE to get the FaD core book to continue playing it past the first game? If so, I might just Get the beginner game for Eote so I can run the adventure and for the shorthand rule book.

CHARGEN is pretty consistent across the books although F&D is very specific to Force careers. So if you want advanced Force user careers I'd say you're served by getting that CRB.

If someone wants to be a Force user badly I would say the beginner F&D game, the dice app can cheaply make up for dice shortfalls.

The Beginner games are always nice for all the tokens you get with it. But I'd still save up for the FaD CRB if I were you. Yes it is nice to have more dice available, but I think in the long run you fare better with the CRB.
