It seems like all the newest ships have one of the new manoeuvres (talon roll or segnors loop). Shouldn't these be withheld just for particularly manoeuvrable ships? If all new ships come with them then it makes older models seem a bit boring and limited, even though they may be supposed to be newer or more manoeuvrable ship in-universe.
Do all new ships have new manoeuvres?
TheTIE Advanced Prototype doesn't, nor do the VCX100 or Attack Shuttle, so no is the answer.
The TIE/fo and t-70 are considered more maneuverable than their predecessors, so having new maneuvers with them makes sense.
The Segnor Loop isn't exactly new either, IG's can do them.
Thought I caught a glimpse of either an s. loop or a t. roll on the Misthunter or Jumpmaster (I forget which one). They don't look that manoeuvrable to me.
I get that the FO and the T-70 are meant to be more manoeuvrable than the LN or T-65 but they've got moves the TIE Interceptor and A-Wing don't have. Just doesn't sit right with me, it's like they're getting them because they're newer releases in the real world, not because it makes a lot of sense fluff wise. Not a big deal, just something that was preying on my mind a little.

The jumpmaster is actually more maneuverable to one side than the other. It's an interesting ship.

From the preview component fan it looks like the Jumpmaster has a white 2 left sloop.

I hope that's its good side!

Starvipers? Never heard of them...

I'm really interested by the Jumpmaster's dial. It's one fat turret I want to try.
It does have a white 2 left S-loop, but it won't have that on the right. I'm curious to see how different the dial will be per side. It can be interesting to seem to be predictable, but then do something on the "bad" side. Much like the Tie Defender when everyone thinks you will go for the white K-turn.

The ship's from battlestar galactica arnt in this game...
At first the "new" manouvers really made me angry because IGs were able to do a Segnor Loop while TIE/Int and A wings couldn't, but looking at all the new ships coming out it seems like that there is no intention to add SLoops and TRolls to every new dial.
the new maneuvers being red, you use them far less than you think unless you're rocking a jouster
the Tie/FO makes wonderful use of segnor's, but the T-70 I find rarely has a good opportunity to t-roll unless it's Asty
the difference between having a "new" (igs and vipers have seggy's) red and an old red isn't greatly game breaking. While the FO has a wonderful dial for jousting, it's most direct comparison (Interceptor) is a lot faster with a green-4-straight + boost. They play very different; too different for one to be directly more interesting than the other
Hope the Misthunter has a segnor's to help out 4-lom (curve around some fool, give him your stress @ end phase).

Yeah, I was never worried it would be unbalanced, it's just unthematic. Should the new X-Wing or the old Jumpmaster have tricks the old Interceptor and A-Wing didn't have? I don't think so. Like I said though, not a big deal.

An attack value 2 PWT with no turret or cannon slots. That's a (potentially) fat turret I don't mind ![]()
Unless scum gets a strong defensive crew from one of the new bounty hunters, it won't be possible to make the Punishing One a fat turret.

As for the Jumpmaster? I just don't know enough about the ship to say if it is thematic or not. I can say that it seems thematic for a smuggler/mercenary to fiddle with their engines until the ship becomes uber maneuverable. Nothing helps you survive combat quite like not getting hit.

Starvipers? Never heard of them...
theyre the card booster pack everyone asked for all this time. buy the cards you want, get a ship for free
Poor starvipers. They are fun fun ships though.
Guri and Xizor are both fantastic. give them a go
poor generics, though ![]()
Generics are fun too.
poor generics, though
That does seem to be the state of X-Wing in general...
I'm not saying it's bad, but I do find it funny to think how X-Wing went from Plastic > Cardboard and the weekly "How can we make named pilots worth taking" to what it is now.

I wouldn't agree entirely, as the generic Ys and Zs are by far the most common across scum (and rebels)
definitely wouldn't agree FO's case, anyway. Those Omega Squaddies are pretty badass (then again, so are Zeta and Omega Leaders)
then again the T-70's suffering pretty bad in that department
but if you're a Tie or TLT, you can't go wrong with your generics
(new maneuvers or no)
also Bombers (scimitar with either ordnance buff is freaking scary), and the Ghost generic could have a mean cheap-ish build with Ezra, Hera, and Fire Control system
lastly, our white segnor's friend, Jumpy, is just mean with plasma torpedoes. You won't have to just play Dengar w/title to get good use of those
