In this game the Rebels took 2 AFBs with gunnery teams, 4 naked CR90s, 2 AWings, and Ackbar. They couldn't have been deployed more poorly, which came back to bite them throughout this match. They decided to be cute and not swirl when they should have just totally swirled.

The Empire brought a decked out ISD II, Demolisher, a raider, a Rhymer ball, Dengar, and a firesprays. The deployment here wasn't much better, but the abysmal deployment by the rebels did them plenty of favors. The Rhymer ball didn't do a ton, but it did enough to ensure that first AFB died early in the match.

Results:

The rebels concede in turn 6 after its determined they can't win. Late in turn 5 a CR90 is moved away from the raider but in double arc blue distance. The destruction of that CR90 gave the game to the imperial's by a mere 20 points.

Fun to watch, but indeed: rebel deployment of the worst kind.

It was a bad slash. Let them learn from their mistakes. One should not admonish but help them understand where the folly lay.

Just because you can slash doesn't mean you have to force it.

That game wasn't really lost on deployment, although it was pretty bad. A few nav commands and playing to the Rebel's strengths would have made the game much better. Charging multiple ships into the ISD is the reverse of that

I think that ISD was going to fast. . . I am thinking that the Navigation Officer is a good idea for it. That way you can do what you want but can still pull your bacon out of the fire.

Another reason why I feel that Ozzel is amazing. Just play the speed-1 game and get into position before everything explodes forward to crush the rebellion.
