Hi all!

Anyone know if Shapeways models need any special prep? Got a few and didn't know if I have to scrub or soak them...

Any advice welcome!

I always wash mine in hot water and lightly scrub with Comet Powder with an old, soft tooth brush. This should be done very gently, since there are lots of fragile parts. For smaller models, a long rinsing with the hottest water out of the tap is good too.

It washes off the waxy coating left after the printing process.

Did you get FUD or WSF?

All FUD needs is a good cleaning.

WSF, requires a bit of canned air treatment to get all the extra white powder out of the inside. If you don't, it will find the most inconvenient times to leak out.
