How many ships do you own?
Started buying the starter kits three days ago.
Now I have 15 ships in total.
That's 3 starter kits (2 old, 1 new), 1 B-wing, 1 Y-wing, 1 K-wing, 1 TIE Advanced, 1 TIE Bomber and 1 TIE Punisher.
Why this mix?
Because I bought the starter sets to play with the kids at the school I work at (in the "nerd club" I run with them), and then when I decided to buy more ships, it dawned on me that I can't really just buy whatever side I want, I'll need to have somewhat even ships on both sides to make decent squads to play with for the kids 
Actually, this made me wonder... How many ships will you have in total, if you bought one of each pack?
I mean, you'd get duplicates of some ships in the veterans packs and so on, so how many would you have in total?

17 rebel, 20 imperial & 7 scum
23 Imperial, 17 Rebel, and 6 scum, totaling at 46 ships.
87 total currently. It's interesting that most people in that poll only own 1 or 2 of each ship...
25 TIEs.
I have only 33 ships, but right now I basically share a collection with 2 other people, we're probably over 50 total.
Also, someone voted 7+ phantoms...and Decimators! And CR90s!!! Wha... You know you can only run 1 C-3PO at a time right?

It's a shame that this thread and the How often do you play thread aren't cross-tabulated. It would be immensely interesting to see if there is a correlation between number of ships and how often you play.

And that includes the duplicates you'd get in the veterans/aces packs and scum starter pack, and the ones you get in the huge ships packs?
It is missing z95 and Y i Scum [edit] as well as HWK.
I'm the guy at BGG who created the poll. As I noted in my opening, the cross faction ships should just be included in the total for the original faction they are in.
The Scum Z95s and Y-Wings are essentially just repaints of the Rebel versions of the same ships. Rebel players can use the for their fleets just as easily as Scum players can.
There is no Scum version of the HWK, only the Rebel version. A Scum player uses the Rebel version along with the cards from Most Wanted.
I understand the way I did the poll may be disappointing if you are a dedicated S&V player, but the intent of the poll was to see how many of each ship players owned, regardless of the alternate paint jobs. I wasn't really interested in faction specific numbers, I would think a separate topic with more focused poll questions would be better at shedding light on that subject.
As for the original topic, I own 55 ships. Like others, I was a bit surprised at how quickly they added up. I would have guessed about 40 before counting.
I'm currently excited for the re=print of Most Wanted along with the new Inquisitor's TIE and Veteran packs. Knowing that I will buy at least 8 more ships means my final total will probably end up somewhere around 80+.
