So how are we getting the rest of 'Rebels' stuff in the game?

By xanderf, in X-Wing

Siege will not sway anyone it just shows the worst of rebels flaws look at that opening battle the rebels don't lose a single a-wing or take a significant hit.

Heroes are only as good as their villains and in rebels the empires a joke completely ineffectual.

Then Vader comes along and makes them look even more pathetic.

There's no threat because the big evil empires portrayed as being totally incompetent.

So the "heroes" come off as bullies picking on the special needs kids.

So if the heroes win, then it comes off as bullies. If they lose A-Wings along with their bases and their capital ships, and get chased off Lothal despite their best efforts, they come off as incompetent. Doesn't seem like any circumstance Rebels could be good for you.

With Stormtroopers no longer being 'elite' troops but rather the foot soldiers, I like the theory that they're just local conscripts to buff up numbers and help the Empire maintain control, which of COURSE are terrible quality - the numbers needed for keeping hold of a galactic Empire excludes a lot of training. There certainly are units that DO get quality training, but stormtroopers in a planetary garrison on an Outer Rim world which isn't super important (at first)? The transition from 'tolerating local bumble****' to 'we're SERIOUS now' is marked by those two comedic value Imps getting executed.

Seriously? i'm not calling the rebels the incompetent ones...Reading comprehension classes for real dude.

Like for real.

That **** avatar.

I was sure you posted in the SW:R thread with contradictory statements about 1) how much it sucks that because the empire is incompetent, and 2) how much it sucks because the Rebellion is incompetent, but the search "feature" on this forum has defeated my efforts to find any of your posts in that thread - if there even ARE any, I've used the search "feature" on this forum half a dozen different times and gotten half a dozen different results.

So, I'm done with that.

However, you did kinda skim past the part of my post that said, "Hey, ya know, stormtroopers aren't the elite soldiers of the galaxy but the corner cops, so it's no wonder the Lothal Rebel cell ran rings around them until they got in some heavy hitters," and moved straight to the personal attack on reading comprehension. So, uh... who's failing here?

Do think it is great. With the Advanced Prototype Seventh Sister can be PS7 and Fifth Brother can be PS5!

Also would much rather Hera as an A-wing pilot than a B-wing pilot. Would be super usable but not overpowered or overshadowing the already existing A-wing aces.

The Super B-wing canon could also be a good way to bring the B-wing back into the metal. A one time use item that deals more damage to ships with lots of hull and low agility.

Nah can you imagine Hera with the title, VI and PTL? She would be PS 9 get two actions a turn and not have to pick which green manoeuvre she wants to clear that stress with until it's time to flip her dial.

I could see the Arquitans and Phoenix Home being new Epics, larger than the Raider and Corvette.

I'd buy both in a heartbeat, but then, I just like the ships....

I think that the Hammerhead is a good contender for another Rebel Huge Ship.

It's physically large, looks cool, and could be scaled to fit nicely alongside the CR90 and Transport without looking too silly.

However, my fantasy would be the Artiquens or whatever you call it - the retextured version of the "Jedi Cruiser."

I think that thing is awesome. It's sleek, iconic, yet still fits in nicely with the SW Universe. It's the right size and feel for a 'ship of the line,' and I think it should've been the counterpart to the CR90. Only downside is it's listed size.

But imagine the huge beasty on the table, costing your full compliment of epic points as it out Dakka-dakkas the Raider before spewing a pair of angry Ties, as the Gozanti looks on in vague embarrassment.

Like the Medium Transport or Corvette that is skinnier than the Ghost...

It struck me re-watching season 2 of Rebels...we've actually got a LOT of new material, for ships already in the game.

I dunno, I'd hate to think there was no way to get all the extra stuff from 'Rebels' into the game, just having a hard time seeing how it could be easily done...

Hopefully NOT getting more of that?

No, really.

I'd say season 2 Rebel stuff won't be out until at least next year (Wave 10) judging from the duration it took FFG to produce minis for the Ghost and TAP. Making a new expansion isn't just producing the mini - thought needs to be put in to the creation of the dial, special rules points cost etc.
