OK so the question is about being assigned movement points. The questions when an ability, card, or action gives you or an ally movement points do you have to use them right away?

examples, gideon give Luke 2 movement points as an action in skirmish.

1. does luke then use those 2 points right away?

or

2. Does he use them on his action and or own normal movement?

I am 99% I know the answer but my opponent believes me to bee 100% wrong.

Any source from the rule book for your answer would help as well.

Your Scenario 1 is correct.

Check the Rules Reference page 20 under Movement Points, 4th bullet point.

"If a figure gains movement points when it is not its activation, those movement points must be spent immediately as an interrupt or be lost."
