Savage Spirits - The Seeker Sourcebook

Looks to be pretty interesting, especially Navigator and Hermit. Not sure about Executioner, though that may have more shooty and less survival/tracking than the Hunter.

Will be kind of saddened if Hermit doesn't have Melee as a career skill, if only due to the trope of many hermits being capable of defending themselves with a staff. Though I kind of suspect that this spec will be another of those "has two Force Rating talents but no Dedication" like the Sage and Seer specs.

Executioner sounds to be the Force version of the Assassin. Otherwise sounds cool. What with the new Force power being mentioned, we could see one of the races being the Miraluka.

Maybe Pantoran/Wroonian, but the art pieces inside the book are often misleading.

Very interesting. Seeker is the one I've been most interested to see how they develop. I suspected the beast riding rules would be included in some way, and it's a nice fit.

And that picture with the lady and the spider creature and the hammock is both highly amusing and incredibly horrifying.

I'll confess that when the Beta came out, Seeker was probably the one career I was less than enthused about, to the point that the only thing I liked about the career was the Ataru Striker spec, and even that due to my being a major fanboy of Ataru (the d20 PC that I took my forum handle from eventually grew to become a master of Ataru while also blending elements of Shii-Cho and Soresu to shore up his defenses).

But these new specs do in general sound interesting. I've got a friend that would love to play a beast master type, but feels that Pathfinder is just entirely wrong for her character.

As for species, since Pantorans are shown pretty dominantly, I do wonder if they'll get their own species write-up. Personally I'd have just treated them as Near-Humans using the Human species write-up, but then I did the same in regards to Mirialans when working on the Unofficial Species Menagerie. If Maelora were still around, she'd probably be excited about the prospect of Pantorans as another "pretty" species for players to make us of.

Another book to look forward to. My shelf is starting to get heavy with FFG star wars products.

Starting? :D

Mine's already groaning under the weight of all the books that FFG has put out for the three product lines.

Why not both... ;)

Anyone else want a loyal spider-dog as a pet?

My only complaint is, I know it's a shared system, but the bestiary looks like it will have a lot of if not mostly rehash of stats we have from other sources. Every creature mentioned in the article had already been statted up in some other product.

I guess Executioner will have a Conflict talent, like Terrify or Baleful Gaze. Them being Force assassins makes sense.

Wow, no lie. This was NOT the book I was expecting to be next in the Career line of F&D. And I am elated it is, because Seeker's one of the ones I really like. With Hermit in there, especially if it ends up a 2 Force one? Yeah, I just got a new favorite career.

I'm pretty sure Spintiri glowbats are not in any previous product. Vrblthers, too, I'm reasonably certain, although less certain given I just statted them up and didn't create them. I can't discuss any creatures not mentioned in the article, but I would suggest waiting to check the product out at your local game store before making calls about how much of the material is repeated.

Right there with you. I've had to clear a shelf to make room for the ones i have and the upcoming ones. Not to mention that i will probably have to clear room on another at some point, if not a whole shelf, once we have all the career, region and adventure books.

Kinda meh.

Looking forward to this...but really can't wait for the Consular.

That's my L5R shelf right now, its bowing bad LOL.

It looks cool, I'm hoping for Wroonians, just because I've always liked them. We're getting ready to start a new mostly Force and Destiny campaign and I believe we have one player looking at a Seeker, so she'll be happy.

The book I really want to see is the Sentinel, but this will suffice for now.

That picture is absolutely adorable. It looks so happy and cuddly! Yes, it is technically spider related and so it should bother me to some degree but it's so fuzzy and cuddly looking and it makes great hammocks, I can't help but love it!

I do like the implication that there is going to be darkside stuff in the book.

I thought for sure Consular was going to be next, honestly. Or an out chance for Sentinel. Just because along with Guardian they're the "classic three" so to say.

In the Guardian book they had the shield gauntlet for the Kilian Rangers, meaning that is is possible to play another Force using tradition something other than a wanna be Jedi. I hope they have the disc blade in the Seekers book for the Zeison Sha. That tradition seems more wilderness survival.

Ah you were right about the glowbats but Vrblthers are in Lords of Nal Hutta.

Looks good. I really like the Hermit.

Also, I hope one of the species is Miraluka, the Force Power seems to suggest so.

I've straight up filled a shelf on my gaming bookcase with FFG Star Wars RPG product...I think I'm going to split it off onto a second shelf, with that one having the Beginner Boxes, Beta Books, GM screens and cards.

Looks good. I really like the Hermit.

I asked for a hint for one of the species on Facebook, and was told "Think tall, with 6 limbs"...so I've got my fingers crossed fo Codru-Ji.
