This one came up on a Local Group, and I passed it on.

I know this has not come up here online on the FFG group, but due to the adamancy of the person involved, I passed it on as a Rules question, and here is the reply...

Thank you for your patience. In response to your question:

Rules Question:

Just a quick one regarding wording. Boba Fett Slave One card states "When you activate, choose 1 enemy ship or squadron at distance 1. That ship or squadron suffers 1 damage." Since it specifies Enemy Ship, but does not say Enemy Squadron (rather, just Squadron), are you able to deal One Point of Damage to a Friendly Bossk in order to trigger HIS ability of gaining the permanent accuracy dice? Or is the intent that it is an Enemy "Ship or Squadron" that must be targeted? Thank you.

The word “enemy” in this instance applies to both “ship” and “squadron,” so Boba Fett cannot deal the damage to a friendly Bossk.

Of course the problem with it, if you were able to target your own squadrons, is that the ability is non-optional. That would not be a fun way to spend a turn or two, lol.

Wow. I thought I had it bad when I had to argue for 5 minutes that you could use accuracies to target defense tokens on hero squadrons.

I know why that misunderstanding happens, but I'm surprised how common out is, and how strongly people really believe that accuracies against heroes don't do anything.

I mean how awesome did Scatter just become, lol.
