I think your Doom Bomber w/ Vader could consider taking a Hull Upgrade potentially allowing another shot with Vader. You're looking at 19 points for 7 Hull vs. 21 points for 10 Hull/Shield but the Bomber gets a big boost when it comes to agility in that it is both more maneuverable, has that higher agility rating to better avoid damage, and also has that Barrel Roll ability.
TIE Shuttle - Why?
nvm
Edited by ficklegreendiceTomax Bren + TIE Shuttle + Adrenaline Rush + Vader if only to give a whole new meaning to the card and its illustration.
I tried out Scimitar + Fleet Officer, Rebel Captive, TIEMk2 yesterday supporting Redline with Guidance Chips and Vessery with Tractor Beam and TIE/D. It worked out pretty well, and the bomber got a critical stress onto Soontir at one point for the game, which was amusing.
It was also spectacularly useles in a couple of other games, one where it just proved too durable and wound up being the last ship out against Poe/Dash, at which point we called it, and one where I accidentally ionised it whilst it was stressed and it sailed off into the middle of nowhere for most of the rest of the match trying to clear stress and not hit obstacles.
I'm not 100% sure the Captive is worth the points over another missile option for Redline, but 19 or 20 points for a support ship that chunters gently along at the back allowing two aces to get double focus or focus/lock is a solid build.
Edited by thespaceinvaderI'm still absorbing a lot of the upgrades and combinations, but so far I think Jonus + Title + Fleet Officer + TIE mkII + Wired is a really solid support ship for 27 points, with Intel agent, Tactician, or Rebel Captive as possible extras.
The question is, what to pair him with.
I've been toying with the idea of 2x Gamma with Deadeye, EM, Cluster, Guidance Chip for a really strong 4x 3 dice attack with a host of modifications. That comes out to 26 each, so you have room for some more ordnance on your bombers or extra upgrades on Jonus, or a TIE fighter or whatever else you want.
I'm sure more will come to me, but that's where I'm at now.

As you mentioned, the shuttle is going to be pretty useless late game in most match ups, so I think you want to promote it as a target more than that build does. Drop the Rebel Captive for maybe a Tactician, which allows the shuttle to place the stress on its own terms, and makes it annoying enough they may just bypass shots on Redline and Vessery to take it out,

Seems like a decent little "stresshog" variant.

Yeah, this works better I think, and leaves a little more space to maybe slot in another missile on Redline. It would be better of couse if the Bomber was manoeuvrable enough to be a reliable blocker, but it's not really, so this might work better.
E: Mara Jade might be another option, though, of course, see previous issues about getting it into position.
Or even Vader makes it a more tempting target.
