Fantasy Flight presents:
Mists Of BILEHALL! Coming to a tabletop near you!
And yet, I agree with the OP.
Due to all of the hoopla around FFG's license for Star Wars, and their understandable desire to maximize profits when the fire is hot, it seems that games like Descent, Mansions of Madness, etc. are getting forgotten ...
This pertains not only to new announcements, but getting product out of the door (like the aforementioned Mists of Bilehall, the two previously announced H&M expansions, etc.). You really couldn't make an X-Mas delivery time? In years past, this would never have occurred. In addition, while there were no fewer than DOZENS of FAQs updated for many of their products ... this was not the case for Descent.
It has been nearly a year since the last FAQ update for this game.
As I mentioned before, I can understand the rationale of FFG's focus on their Star Wars universe, but allow your other games to languish too long, and you WILL lose followers ... even those such as myself that have been long time supporters.
Edited by any2cardsThey could be stuck in customs, it happens. I was just wishful thinking.
I mean if I supported a kickstarter in Oct. 2015 and the game isn't coming till Oct. 2016 I can wait a few more weeks for Mists and the H&M packs.
I'm thinking maybe with the hype over the Star Wars movie, Fantasy Flight probably focused a bit more on what was hot- namely Star Wars. I guess I can understand that. But you are right... Fantasy Flight really should give some priority to their other game franchises. They do give us a few updates when it comes to Bilehall and the lieutenants that come with it and you may have noticed that is indeed "On the Boat". Would be nice if they kept the website up to date though-poor Dark Elements is still "In Development".
I did get Under the Pyramids for Eldritch Horror, I was hoping to at least get the H&M in Dec.

It's the same with the RPGs. Once the Star Wars RPG lines came, the focus shifted from Warhammer40k towards that. The only Warhammer 40k RPG line that still gets a bit of attention is Dark Heresy Second edition, and I expect that to dry up soon as well.
Edited by GridashHopefully the shipments are off "the boat" by now, or I'm afraid we may need to enlist a deep-sea dive team :-). I nominate Grisban for the task. He is thristy after all...
Optimistically, the delay may be caused by in-development content that isn't quite ready yet, but that they want to announce when they release the stuff we're waiting for. I would love to see another campaign book soon. Maybe they should call it "Descent: A New Hope"... ;-)
Well, personally I'm fine with FFG slowing down with Descent, cause I don't have everythibg released for game and with limited money resource it's not going to change very soon. So I can catch up a bit. On the other hand more content - more fun (well, at least I think it works for Descent)
Really, they can publish moreCampaign books like Heirs of Blood. I won't complain.
If I was FFG I'd publish a new campaign book, but involving all materials of the previous expansions. It would be better than restrict to the core game and it would make people buy the expansions too.
I know, it would be not useful for those who doesn't have everything, but as I stated...if I was FFG.
I agree leewroy, I do have everything and I want my map tiles to be put to better use. My experience with creating my own adventures have not been easy to make in the quest vault. It has been really hard to navigate through, at least on my computer.
Last update for Treaty of Champions....... 10/28/15

That's exactly my point. With so many tiles, I can see a lot of possibilities, not sticking just with the core game. And I don't feel experienced enought with descent to create a balanced campaign. A bad one I would do in a blink, tough ![]()

Mists of Bilehall is now available here in Sweden. The lieutenant packs haven't hit them yet, though.

There is an amazon seller in the US that says it will be available end of January. The store near me still lists it as "pre-order, release date unknown."
I have preordered them all on ebay including both H&M packs.
Just waiting here in the U.S.
Mine has shipped, however the weekend will likely delay the delivery till Monday at the earliest.
Not having the lieutenant packs feels a bit meh, though, but I assume they´ll soon be following.
Edit: if you have the lieutenant packs placed in the same order then maybe that's why the order is delayed till end of january? I´m guessing orders with the expansion alone should ship quite soon?

You´re probably aware, but there are three new lieutenant packs for this expansion.
Yes I have them ordered as well. The tokens just don't do it justice in descent, I find it strange that that bothers me, when I am fine with eldritch horror tokens. Lol.

Well it's quite easy for me. Lieutenants/Agents are the most powerful monsters in the game, so they need to be better representated than these pieces of cardboard. Think of the situation where you setup the map and place your dragons, and then you place a tiny piece of cardboard to represent the big bad guy. It's awful.
Cardboard is fine is everything else is cardboard made. Plastic minis and cardboard "minis" aren't quite compatible in my mind. On the other hand I will be getting Gloomhaven with cardboard heroes (but the monsters weren't in plastic either, only heroes could be plastic minis at an additional cost). I also have zero problems with Dead of Winter. I could see myself playing D2E with cardboard monsters/heroes, it would ease my pain of having to paint it all, lol. But I would expect lieutenants to be easily recognizable from the rest to represent their might and influence in the quest.
