Howlrunner + Crackshot
Scourge + Crackshot
Mauler Mithel + Crackshot
Backstabber
Night Beast
Wampa
Was a lot stronger than I expected - noticible offense improvement over the old 6 named tie swarm, Crack shot is mean + Wampa's random tech is nice. Scourge is pretty cruel, and Mithel is less of a target with scourge, stabber and howl in the mix.
The real trick is knowing when not to use crack shot.

The real trick is knowing when not to use crack shot
Its not that hard? use it if it will deal damage.
Then again, I use 6x Crackshot. ![]()
It's more the matter of having 3 on the higher firing ships - since if you have shots on a single ship - using crack shots may guarantee it's death - which is good, but may obsolete later shots in the sequence. generally using them early is good - but against a y-wing for example, you won't really know till hindsight.
Optimally, you'll get the kill with no left over damage - if you kill a y-wing with 2 hits, vs 0 evades, and there's only 1 hull point worth of damage needed - then it would've been better to save the crack shot. Especially if there's a high AGI target that you'll struggle with later.
It's also better to crack shot a critical hit through shields, than it is to crack shot a hit onto a shield. So should you blow all of your crack shots on the opening attack? or just 1 or 2?
It's also important to use them while the ship is alive - so it seems like the safer general strategy is use them early and often.
