Conditions in a Campaign

By Theron, in Imperial Assault Rules Questions

This is probably a stupid question but do conditions disappear or carry over between missions in a campaign? Thing is, the rules specifically state the following on page 9:

Each Condition card lists when it is discarded. When this situation occurs, discard the card or token; the figure no longer follows the rules listed on the Condition card.

None of which say anything about post-mission clean up. And the post-mission cleanup says nothing about removing such cards either. Now I know that likely they are supposed to be removed, but with everything else being spelled out about what happens and when, its a bit odd that no where does it mention conditions being removed in any way other than doing the listed action to get rid of them.

It was probably an oversight - but post-mission does say that you turn heroes back to healthy side and recover all damage and strain... so the assumption would be conditions as well... Remaining bleeding between missions or focused would make no logical sense.

Huh. I went over the rules are you're right, it doesn't specifically say "get rid of conditions" at the end of the mission. But mission setup eludes to the fact that they would be clear between missions:

"Mission Setup", RRG, Page 18:

5. Prepare Dice, Cards, and Other Tokens: Place all dice, the Condition and Supply decks, damage tokens, strain tokens, and condition tokens within easy reach of all players.

My leaning would be that conditions clear between missions and that this is an oversight.

Thanks for the replies. I figured it was an oversight as I stated in my original post, but with everything else being spelled out on when it does what, really wanted to know the thinking behind this.

I sent a rules question about this and finally received a response.

"Yes, both conditions and device tokens are removed at the end of each mission."

I sent in the question too, only got the response this morning as I was way busy yesterday.
