Trying to make a kind of special league play here in my area. I got 8-ish players interested in some kind

of epic competitive play.

Our main problem is time.

You can't really play a epic game in less than two hours.

And you really can't play more than two games ina row, it's tiring as hell.

So we looked in league-like play, three to four games a month, score points. Good stuff.

Our squad build rules are standard, but you can only take three types of ship in one squad.

(like Raider + Tie Fighters + Lambda Shuttles or Decimators + Tie Punisher + Firespray)

But that favors a lot who fields huge ships, so to spicy things up a little I made these cards.

Squad points is 300, you have 3 epic points to expend in those cards.

You can't change your card list until the end of the league. (three months)

But you can change your squad.

Any ideas? I think it's not balanced, but i'm trying to make small ships-only viable.

Well what is the goal. If it is to play a larger game then just play escalation only skip the 60 point round and stat at 100 and go to 300. IF it is to play huge ships then make the area smaller and limit everyone to 3 epic points and 200 squadron points for less ships and smaller play area.

Also, you don't have to be tied to the "Epic" format. You can play 200 pts if you want. Or, it doesn't have to be about list building and all. What if you played a bunch of scenarios each week and whichever side won the most wins for the week?
