This week last I was able to place my ISD on top of my computer desk, it’s really the first thing I see when I get home from an outing or come into the living room each day. It sits there and looks amazing. (Ironically it’s next to my bill stack, so I dream about it firing upon debits destroying them) I have yet to play a game with my wave 2 ships and it’s going to be awhile before I do. In this year I am learning more and more about contentment and being happy with what I have vs what I don’t. I know right now there is a hunger for something new and a lot of posts about new (Aug/Sept will be neat), but I really love wave 2 right now. I love my ISD and its 8 dice out the front, every detail on the ship, wondering how many people are inside it, how it would be to fly one into space, if we as humans could build one? It really is amazing that the look of the model is always surprising in a good way to me. I do hit the place where I am torn now if I even want to play a game with it, if I roll badly or it dies my love might be less, for now I will just looking at it and dream of traveling the stars in it. Last night was a cold night where the sky was alive, Orion was saying come up here and see what I see.
Honestly it’s going to be tough to beat the ISD in way of looks and feel, so I am learning a bit more every day to love the ISD and to some extend the CR-90 as it is the best ship of wave 1 not for play style but for what star wars did for me and how I will remember always watching it fly by the screen and having the model of it is a dream come true. Though to be fair 3 CR-90s are still amazing to run in 400 points.
Good hunting this week friends and be excellent to each other.
