General sorin has an ability to make adjacent friendly figure preform an attack. The attack gains blast 1. Can I make a melee figure attack and can the attack gain blast 1?

Any adjacent friendly figure, so yes. Your friendly adjacent figure would gain Blast 1.

Except when having Reach, you would hurt your own figures.

That Blast is not optional.
