Yet another typo in an FFG preview article.... [humour not a whinge!]

By Trevor Goodchild, in X-Wing

So in the "Hunted by the Inquisitor" article the Guidance Chip card reads:

"Once per round, when you perform an attack with a torpedo or missile, your Guidance Chips allow you to convert any one die result to a hit. Alternatively, if your ship features a primary attack value of "3" or higher, you can instead convert any one die result to a critical hit."

I think what it is supposed to say is:

Once per round, when you perform an attack with a torpedo or missile, your Guidance Chimps allow you to convert any one die result to a hit. Alternatively, if your ship features a primate attack value of "3" or higher, you can instead convert any one die result to a critical hit. ;)

This wording also helps explain the mystery why ships that roll 3 red dice are better with ordnance than their two dice ordnance carrier specialist counterparts! (less the B-Wing!)

If this topic goes past page one, it's going to go over so many people's heads...

Either that or the community is even better with follow up puns than I thought possible!

I'm going to put Guidance Chimps on an Ape-Wing.

So you're saying you're just monkeying around?

Ape-Wing Meta.

Gibbon that sort of response it would ape-ear you are too!

No need to resort to ad-hominid attacks! :P

This is bananas.

Can't wait to play my cousins when it comes out.

This thread doesn't really ape-ply to discussions on here, and it's too simian-lar to others I've seen on here. Let's get back to real discussion about the upcoming Store Chimpanzee-anship season.

I tried to see what u r referring to, but cant find the ffg page. It appears there is a missing link ...

It's ok, Lancelot Link is on the case to find his relative.

I'm just commenting to help pass page 1

Brilliant, this thread made my day

Monkey Madness = Guidance Chimp Bomber swarm.

Monkey Mayhem = Nera led B-wings.

This needs alternate art card.... desperately.... Put a chimp on an a-wing who is "chucking" missiles at tie fighters.

Also...

"Use the chimp Luke!"

Knowing this forum the joke will be torn ape part till all humor is lost.

I second this.

Can someone proxy this please? But just change the "chips" and "primary" on the original card, using the actual image. I don't have the proper device to edit. I wanna screw with someone... :)

(Joke would have been waaay better if you quoted the original text. Lots of folks wouldn't have noticed the "little monkey" and be confused... ultimately this would be hysterical to read the 'straight' reply posts. )

I did the one where he's inside the ship. If I have time later and can find decent pics, I could probably put him outside the ship. No promises.

Well I hope you're happy Trevor!

I can't look at a topic about Guidance Chips without reading Guidance Chimps!

I'm just gonna roloway from this monkey-business. It's fricking debrazzing!
